China Palace — Restaurant in Cape Girardeau

My experience is with online preorders with drive thru/ carry out only:

The food is above par and the serving sizes are even more so. However, I'm not sure how I feel about the new ownership and a few menu changes I've encountered. Some of the perks like free crab rangoon with menu specials kept me coming back time and time again. I've also noticed a change in the taste of the Egg Drop Soup... unless it's just my taste buds.... It used to be the best in town, in my personal opinion, in no way comparable to any other restaurant in town. Now, it's good. Just good. I miss those things. I miss some of the old smiling faces and a few that never forgot my name .. as a "'1 to 5 times a year'" cunsumer. That's so special to me!

But times change, I get it. I hope nothing but the best for the new ownership! :)

This I can report on their behalf I found their service to be friendly and fast, providing a top notch experience in the 3 out of 3 trips I've made since ownership has changed hands.

That truely speaks numbers to me with quality customer support hard to find these days.

i used to love this place. but the workers clearly are not on the same page. sometimes when i go i’ll get this younger lady and i’ll ask for noodles with sesame chicken. and that is what i would get, noodles with sesame chicken ontop of the noodles in a styrofoam to go box. but when it’s not her and someone else is taking orders and i try to order the same exact thing i get told “we don’t have that kind of chicken anymore” and then i’m stuck getting noodles with nasty grilled chicken mixed into the noodles. i asked her what kind of chicken they had if they didn’t have sesame chicken anymore, apparently according to her the only chicken they have is the grilled chicken they put in fried rice. this has happened to me more than one time and it’s very disappointing. what kind of chinese restaurant doesn’t have some type of chicken that has sauce on it? like sesame chicken, orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, general tsos, that is the whole point of getting chinese food for me. won’t be going here any more, i used to recommend it all the time but definitely...

I work hard for my money and I’m a regular yesterday 10-11-24 I ordered beef and noodles with chicken and extra meat for $2 my order came to my job and it was a lot of noodles and barely any meat no chicken at all I tried catching the delivery man but he left so fast I called restaurant 3 times no answer I did not eat the food I took pictures. This regular finally got a hold of someone today in 10-12-24 and told the nasty rude talking no customer service girl talk white say she a manager and her name ping ping. I asked to speak to someone higher and she say she don’t give refunds or free food I don’t want your food I want my money back and my chicken on the stick was burnt I give this place a zero food nasty must b a new cook and the customer service that I got bad attitude from same girl both days I will never come back just give me my money back and get better customer service help in your restaurant because the girl running the building playing manager roll she will never be a manager in another job she would not survive. Please help or do I need to...
