Absolutely love our farmers market. There can be some extremely rude people though that don't follow the rules of the farmers market when it comes to bringing your dogs. 6ft leash, friendly dogs only, dogs must not soil on products or by them,if it is to hot out put some darn boots on your pup don't make their feet suffer the hot black top. I love that this is a great place for socializing our puppy but people need to keep their dogs under control and not allow them just to come bombarding other people and dogs (ask before approaching any dog or person or child. For your pups safety and for the publics well-being, be respectful.) love the vendors, the farmers are so darn nice. Some alittle pricey but worth it. Humane society comes here as well which I like to see them out with a adorable pup that is getting the love and socializing that they need. Wish it was open longer than 8am-12pm but I am grateful that they are open for those 4 hrs. Mario's mama is the best vendor there Hahahah go get some treats from her and share...
Read moreLove this market, always the most friendly vendors with so many things to buy and try. Fresh fruits and veggies, locally sourced teas, art, coffee, honey and so much more. My very first visit was just in September and I was not expecting such a large crowd. It felt so friendly inviting and safe. We met so many awesome humans and had a chance to connect with some deeply interesting people. I have since been back and plan on attending more markets. If you're ever looking for something down-to-earth and casual yet fun, and different please go check out the market. It's also great for just walking around and viewing all the goodies, crafts, and people. You won't be...
Read moreOpen air market thriving even during quarantine. Some inconsiderate people still roaming without masks but that's Southern Illinois for you, unfortunately. Highlights include fresh mushrooms from Flyaway Farms, microgreens (which I've only seen starting this year), and fresh baked breads and cookies (which aren't overly sweet so it's a nice change of pace). Seasonal produce is always abundant as are local meats (bison, beef, and chicken ). Definitely worth the stop every...
