Downtown Carlisle Association — Local services in Carlisle

I own a business in Carlisle and attempt to utilize everything at my disposal to provide for my community. I contacted the DCA about doing an ice sculpture and was met with open arms about designs and ideas. I wrote a check and paid for it months in advance. A few days ago I received an email explaining my lack of statement. It was stated to me that the DCA attempted to reach me four times due to non-payment and that I needed to pay for my sculpture from seven months ago.

I do not recall any attempts of any capacity of the DCA trying to reach out to me. This was a severe lapse of judgment and a lack of responsibility. When I contacted my bank and in indeed it showed they had received payment, I presented this information to the DCA. No apology for anything whatsoever or remorse for running me around and accusing me of stealing an ice sculpture.

This is the very reason as a business owner I will not allow myself to give them a morsel more of my money. I have had several business owners who have made me aware of the disregard and downright disrespect they have received from the DCA.
