I don't use Apple products mainly because of terrible customer service snd it is severly overpriced. However, my girlfriend does. Her cell phones battery was terrible. It would go from fully charged to dead within an hour or so. I verified myself that it was the battery(obviously by ensure things were needlessly using battery life and such). This is only ONE Apple store that is relatively close and it is about a 45 minute drive. Anyway, we had to wait several days for an "appointment". There was an accident on the way, so we were ten minutes late. They said they couldn't do anything about it. We both work, and she needs her phone. Rescheduling again wasn't an option for us. The appointment was a "diagnostic". I told them I know for a fact it was the battery.(my degree is in computers and electronics). They said they had to verify with an appointment. I asked if we could buy a battery and I would change it out my(it takes about six minutes to do). They said no. They were able to squeeze us in four hours later, so we hung out in the Apple store for four hours. They ran the diagnostic and surprise, it was a battery. THAT WAIT WAS ONLY FOR THEM TO TELL ME WHAT I ALREADY KNEW! The repair then was put in the que with the rest of the repairs. THREE MORE HOURS OF WAITING FOR A SIX MINUTE BATTERY REPLACEMENT! We finally got her phone fixed, but we literally spent all day at the Apple store because we weren't allowed to just drop it off. I even asked them to call me when the phone was ready so we could take a walk - I couldn't stand being in the store any longer. They said that they normally don't do that. "You don't have a program, or even an automated text messege system to notify someone that their phone is ready for pickup?" They said no. They said they would make an exception for us. I didn't have high hope based upon how that seemed to have never occured to them before. We then went for a walk (there isn't much around there, so we never strayed more than 100 yards from the store). They said to come back at 8:30pm, it make even be done sooner. We came back at 8:30pm and the phone had been done for an hour and a half while we walked around outside, yet they NEVER LET US KNOW! I was in utter disbelief.
They make you schedule an appointment for a diagnostic(not even repair). They are the only location eithin 40 miles of me. They don't allow you to purchase the parts from them. They don't allow you to drop off the phone and leave it with them. They don't have seperate phone repair ques based upon length of time for repair(so if you need a battery swap, you are in the same line as someone one needs two hours of work done on their phone). And they have no system notifing you(they wouldn't even to a courtesy call) when the phone is actually ready for pickup. We spent our entire Saturday trying to repair something I knew was broke, that could have been fixed in less than ten minutes.
If you are going to put me and my girlfriend through something like that at least allow me the opportunity to purchase the parts and do it myself. Mind you, this wasn't a warrenty, this was all done with us knowing we had to still give them money for the repair. Literally one of the worst, most disorganized customer experiences I have ever experienced in my life. I really don't know how Apple is...
Read moreThe Apple Store in Carlsbad really stood out to me in the best way possible. I’ve been to a few different Apple Stores before, but this location was honestly one of the most helpful and efficient experiences I’ve had. From the moment I walked in, the staff was super friendly and welcoming. They were quick to assist and really knew what they were doing, whether it was helping someone pick out a new device or walking through a replacement process. What impressed me most was how fast and smooth everything went when I needed to replace my iPad. I had an older iPad 9th generation that needed to be swapped out, and they made the whole process stress-free and fast. They had the newer models in stock — both the 10th and 11th generation — and I was able to upgrade right there in the store. I even got the color I wanted: pink, which I was honestly surprised they had! It felt like everything worked out perfectly, and I left feeling really thankful that I chose this Apple Store. The employees weren’t just helpful — they were incredibly knowledgeable. No matter what question I had about features, storage, accessories, or how the newer models compared, they had clear answers and great advice. They didn’t push anything on me, but they had all the information I needed to make the right choice for myself. It was clear they knew Apple products inside and out, and that made the whole shopping and replacement experience feel really easy and low-stress. Another thing I appreciated was that they usually seem to have everything in stock. So many times, you walk into a store hoping for a certain model or color and they’re sold out, but not here. I felt lucky, but I also think this location just does a great job keeping popular items on hand. That makes a big difference, especially when you’re on a tight schedule and don’t want to wait around or come back later. Overall, I’m really blessed to have had such a great experience at the Carlsbad Apple Store. Whether you’re upgrading, replacing, or just exploring your options, this store is worth the visit. The people are helpful, the service is quick, and the whole place runs like a well-oiled machine. It definitely left a positive impression on me, and I’ll be returning to this location anytime I need something Apple-related...
Read moreI went into the "Genius Bar" Apple Store and technician told me I needed to restore/reset my ipad because the iCloud and AppleID were set up to the wrong email address, wrong birthdate, and none of the security questions were working, they have verified me with my other Apple IDs and Serial # of my ipad, but I lost receipt, so the technician restored it and Apple ID locks it completely if you odn't provide the receipt, so now I have a perfecctly good ipad I was using for my business otherwise that cannot be used for my business anymore! When I had AppleID call the store they said I was never in there, but I have the proof from the technician loggin into my email account from his laptop that day, and then when I talked to the manager "Susie" there and told her how upset I was that they did this to me she said they could get sued so they could not help me and they have done everything right, that is not what AppleID told me, and they are the ones who did this to me, they take no responsibility for their actions and training of their technicians and she said she would tell Apple "not to have any contact with me anymore" when I told her I would never buy another Apple product again. They need to treat their customers better and take responsibility for their technicians and management of them, and how they treat their customers. It is the worse policy and service and irresponsible servic3e you could ever imagine. They should be called out on their performance and irresponsibility and actions and service. Customers should not trust them, they will not accept any responsibility for what they do and how they treat their customers if they have done something wrong and try to cover it up. I have reported this also to Consumer Affiars and...
