BOUTIQUE AT THE FORUM CARLSBAD — Local services in Carlsbad

I've been a vendor at this lovely boutique since January of 2024 and I can't speak highly enough about it! The staff (I'd prefer to call them friends) are professional, friendly, helpful and really care about the store/vendors. With this being my first year in launching my product line, I've learned that you get what you put into your business. Since I've taken part of the pop-up shops at Adore, my sales have been excellent! I make sales when I'm at pop-ups and when I'm not at the store, I make good sales. I love getting to know the other vendors and the community that we have in supporting each other. It feels more like family than simply a business and I absolutely love that! The staff are extra careful to keep the store a beautiful and safe place for all who are involved.

It's rare to find a group of people who really care, work hard and are consistently finding ways to make the store even better than it already is. I'm in awe on a regular basis of how they make what I consider perfection, even better. I'm blessed many times over to be part this amazing collaboration. VENDORS BEWARE! These stores are set up for THEM to make money, not you! They will ring up your items at a wrong, far below retail price (especially it is something mgmt personally wants, IMO) and take zero accountability for it. Oh, and if you do make a sale, they also charge you THEIR processing fees from THEIR carrier in top if rent and on top of the commission they take from any sale you make! They will overcharge rent in some way shape or form so that they never, ever pay you. AGAIN I SAY, VENDOR BEWARE!! (My experience is from the now closed Temecula location....hmmm....imagine that. Guess too many vendors became aware of their scandalous business practices!)

BTW....I reached out to this location to see if they were operated by the same people. When I really started asking questions about who the management team was, my email was blocked. And not one single email will ever, ever give you a persons name that is replying to your email. It is simply signed 'ADORE YOUR DAY'. They are SCANDALOUS!!!

Very disappointed! The idea of this store is a good one- providing local artisans a physical location to sell their goods and making it easy for shoppers to support the local economy. However, the business practices of these particular owners are shady. When issues arise, common decency and basic customer service suggests that you do what needs to be done to make it right for the business' sake and the sake of your partners/customers. As a business owner myself, I have had to accept that taking an occasional loss is part of the package. Sometimes, doing the right thing is more important than protecting your right to a few dollars. As much as I enjoyed supporting the vendors at this store, I will be going out of my way to make sure I continue to support local artisans through other avenues.
