I want to start by saying Bruce wasn't my only driving instructor so this review isn't going to be based off of the emotion that I passed my road test on my first try. My previous instructor had a newer car made for students with her own set of brakes for safety which was cool but she wasn't nearly as professional and as patient as I needed her to be and was barely interested in showing me enough skills I would need beyond the road test. She would raise her voice at me while I'm already trying not to freak out and even showed up with another student in the car for my first class which was totally unexpected. All of this led me to Bruce. I explained to Bruce that I had children and I needed to learn more than just passing the road test. He was patient, understanding, knowledgeable and punctual. He truly taught me skills that I would need as a driver and took time to explain why those skills are important in different real life scenerios. The idea of going on the highway terrified me for years but I went on the highway a few times with Bruce and wasn't scared one bit. He gave clear directions each and everytime and never raised his voice for anything. Yes, his car is a bit older but to me it's not about the car it is about the teacher. It makes a huge difference in the outcome and I canceled all of my classes with my previous instructor. Bruce coudn't take me to my test in Wayne so I had to still use my previous instructor for that one day and she had me drive on the highway for it. Mind you, she never took me on the highway before, Bruce did. If I didn't learn how to remain calm with Bruce I would've failed my road test because she would've had me going on the highway for the first time ON THE DAY of my road test. Can you imagine how shaken up students would be on the day of their road test?! Anyway, I felt it would help to compare instructors so that future students can know that it doesn't matter what car you are practicing in. Your teacher matters and Bruce deserves 5 stars! I cannot say enough about NJ Elite Driving School. Bruce was wonderful!! My daughter learned so much from him. He was extremely patient, kind, funny, and professional. He was always on time, and if he was running a few minutes late, he would always notify me, which was much appreciated. My daughter Alexa enjoyed her lessons, and came away with a lot of knowledge. Coming to North Jersey driving school on the advice of a friend was one of the best decisions I've ever made. He is pleasant and makes you feel at ease. He is calm, professional, and extremely patient, and he teaches you in a way that makes you feel at ease.
