I love this store. I’ve been going here ever since the time they opened. I’ve bought clothing, an awesome longboard, wax, and surf accessories. It doesn’t matter if you come in and buy a board or just a sticker, the owner and staff are friendly and helpful. The selection of clothing is always changing and you can get some great deals if you check out their clearance sections. Last time I went (3/3/24) most of the hoodies and flannel were 40% off and they were running a great sale on board shorts. I came in to buy a fin screw I lost that morning surfing and ended up getting a board bag I needed for about 110 dollars less than I was expecting to spend. What are you waiting for? Come into an awesome local store and rep some local pride. As a bonus, if you are a tourist, ask the staff about any local restaurant they will certainly give you an honest and accurate review of where to eat or stay...

We stopped in to look around and Topher greeted us with open arms. Super nice, talkative, and actually found out his son lives near us. He told us the patches for the hats were from a factory in Weaverville and they press the logo there. The store was clean and had a 'good vibe' as soon as you walked in. He gave great recommendations on where to go and eat around us and even for a spot closer to our hometown. The clothes are good quality and reasonably priced. Even the sale racks had multiple sizes and a good variety. We even went back to buy a hat because we would rather pay a little more for a better quality hat that was sold to us by such a genuine guy. Came here to buy my wife and I shortboards after taking surfing lessons all week (highly recommend in Carolina Beach), fully expecting to drop a grand each. Upon walking in, we saw a decent variety of boards. My wife saw one she liked, and got closer to it, when a worker that looked like Jeff Spicoli yelled “HEY, don’t touch.” Across the store and proceeded to laugh with the other kid at the counter and then talk about killing a fly they couldn’t catch all night.

Needless to say, we’ll be getting our boards ANYWHERE else. It was beyond rude. We’ll try Reflection Surf Co. next. They’re higher recommended on...
