Dollar General — Local services in Carolina Beach

Double check prices of items marked to be sure they ring up correctly. I bought several items at the Dollar General at Carolina Beach. Two were discounted items on clearance that did not ring up correctly. Clerk kept telling me the non-discounted price. I kept telling her they were on clearance and I wanted to pay the discounted price as marked. She had to get a manger to change the price. No big deal. It happens. However we also noticed another item that rung up incorrectly. 6 dollars more than the price advertised on the store shelf. Manager would not discount the item to the price indicated on the display. Instead, she removed the price saying it was not marked correctly. She kept saying she wasn’t having the best day. We all have them. I got a refund on the item. I hope the manager has...

This store doesn't have a lot of inventory but they do keep convenient hours nd I'm giving an extra star for the niceness of their staff and the fact that of all the stores that shut down on the island with the slightest notion of bad weather; they've stayed open longer. They also sale cell phones and activate at this location- they aren't the best and newest but if you have an emergency and break yours, like we did, they're a cheap, fast answer to the problem and you don't have to commit...

Most of the staff is friendly helpful and knowledgeable. A few probably shouldn't be working anywhere my biggest gripe is they have a big new store and every time I choose to go in to do some shopping there is a line of 10 people or more and only one register open it is the craziest thing I have ever seen. If you know you have a lot of people in a tourist area at a Dollar General why do you only have one cashier? Usually I wait my turn but today I put my stuff back on the shelf...
