Island Beverage — Restaurant in Carolina Beach

Wow, did I have a great time last night at this wonderful little wine and beer bar in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. I found it by reading an ad in Craigslist and thought, why not check it out! I'm glad I did. It was just as I was hoping it would be. Family atmosphere, great selection of draft beer and wine and most of all great people! I've spent my life playing music is various places all over the country and this is by far one of the most fun nights I've had in a while. Where do you find a music night where mom and young daughter play a song together. (she looked like elementary school age) That made my night, so sweet and precious! I made some very lasting memories last night, I can't wait to play there again! This was an incredible find for my husband and me! We were very impressed with the wide selection of craft beers both on tap and available in the fridge. The beers on tap were local and delicious. The atmosphere was local and cool. Most of the customers that evening were friends of the owners and staff, but they were warm and inviting to us visiting. We had an incredible time talking with them, and the place is pet friendly! Every dog we met was very laid back and friendly as well. We will definitely be coming back here next time we journey to the Wilmington area. I cannot recommend this...

Awesome time! Stumbled upon this place after getting a biscuit at southerly and was surprised that it was actually more of a hangout spot vs just beer/wine store. The owner roger was super friendly and helpful in recommending local beers to take back home and ended up hanging out at the bar for a few hours trying the beers on draft and soaking in the fun Sunday Mimosa Bar vibes. Clearly a super good vibes place with strong community ties. Just wish I could be here for the Tuesday mic nights and their Thursday night music bingo, but...
