Pleasure Island Chamber of Commerce — Attraction in Carolina Beach

If i could give zero stars i would. I've been visiting Kure beach for almost 20 years on an average of twice a year. Last weekend a friend & i went for a long weekend & they had a little get together on Sunday right at the pier. I was enjoying the music & festivities & then the mayor made some comments that really bothered me. He said at least twice that they were all glad to see the summer end & for all of the tourists to be gone so "we can have our beach back". 5 star for This is for the beach. 2 star to the having to pay to see Gods beautiful ocean at $5 an hr. 0 stars for the drive on beach part that allwheel drive vehicles cant drive on any more. Horrible scummy organization. Canceled an event due to rain even though they said it would take place rain or shine, and while they did state that the event was non-refundable they can't be bothered to make an exception when they lied about the event taking place even if it rained but then canceling it due to rain.
