Scalpers with a store front. 0 prices on single cards and when they pull up TCG to compare, none of the compared prices reflect what they're charging you. Refused to go down to the regular prices what they were being paid for. 20 dollar Tatsugiri (screenshot for prices) Overheard them taking a call while i was there and quoting someone $100 for a regular Prismatic ETB. Even doubles down on scalping Prismatic ETB's for more than double the price because 'thats what people online are paying it for'. Goes against everything this hobby was about and at the end of the day your just a walking wallet they want to squeeze every single drop out of you. Rubbed me the wrong way and will not be going back. Enjoy the 3 bucks of profit on the single you made instead of making a long time buyer want to come back. Nickel and diming to the very last transaction. (this was my 3rd and last time at this place) Huge advocate on supporting Local Card Shops not Scalpers with a Store Front. That one visit was everything i had to see.

Visted this awesome shop Carrollton recently and was blown away by how much they had! They had multiple aisles of different board games, one of the larger paint sections I've seen in a game store. There is a whole wall of their different MTG rares on display, and 2 kiosks to easily find and pick out the cards you want. They have not 1 but 2 large gaming sections, with the one in the back having tons of board games to play. They have a wide variety of different TTRPG books and a plethora of different dice for each one. Definitely check this place out!

Awesome place to visit!! I came to Dallas from Houston for my wife's conference and had the whole day to myself. Long story short I spent 4 hours at boardwalk games with a very friendly owner and staff. Before I forget to mention Will the owner let me play his Nintendo switch! As an added bonus there is pizza by the slice next door for $6 with a drink! All in all I felt like I was in heaven,,, the picture I posted proves it!!

Enjoyed this LGS when I first moved to Texas. They have a great selection of singles and they used always be competitive with TCG markets. Went back in a few weeks ago and they had a card I had really been looking for. I was super excited and added to my cart. The price came up which was 25% more than the market price of TCG. Initial I knew that their price was probably an old one and I figured they would at least get a little closer to the actual going price. I went to the counter and was ready to buy the card and asked if they were able to get a little closer to the TCG price. The extremely fat dude behind the counter, which I found was the manager there laughed and said “yeah I could, but I’m not going to.” I laughed thinking that he was joking. He continue to be really rude to me. He wouldn’t even look up at me after I asked him. The other guy behind the counter was actually a nice dude and you could tell that he felt awkward with the way he was treating me. A lot of guys in the shop said they have had the same experience. Since then I have no problems at any other shops in the area matching or at least getting close to the TCG market prices as MTG prices changes all the time so this normally isn’t a big deal. I would recommend shop at Collectables in Carrollton or The Card Haven in Lewisville. Those shops have always treated me well and seem to keep their cards up to date with pricing. The Card Haven has a great policy with after 10 days after the sticker price they will match the cheapest price on TCG and Collectables cards and Games does Magic Monday where you get 10% cards $10 or more or buy 2 get 1 free on cards $10 and under. I just will never get why a manager of a business like Boardwalk would lose a sell and treat a customer like this over a TCG that has a clear economy and pricing is very clear online for every single card. This review is only for the management team there as I have had good experiences with the lower level staff and they all seem to be down to earth. I hope one day new management will take over or at least do a rehaul of how they do cards, but until then I will take my...

An absolutely wonderful place to get your game on! The worker there (I sadly do not remember their name) was very kind and very very helpful this most recent Saturday evening!

On Saturday when I came in to window shop, they were staying open a bit later so you can play any game they already have opened to basically give it a trial run before purchasing. It's a smart idea! Though, I feel kinda bad because I didn't have quite enough to buy the game I tried and liked at the time (Codenames: Duet), even though I really wanted to.

This is probably an odd thing to want, but I wish they had some sort of way I could have contributed like, a dollar or two or some other very small price since we came in, took up their space and time, and got to test-run a game like we did. I really like this game store and I want to support it as best I can, even though I am kinda poor and can't always buy a new game. I may not be able to afford a $20-30 game very easily, but I can still afford a buck or two just to get to play while at the store.

Maybe they don't want to charge for the game night so that more people can come in simply for the love of games, which I can understand and find very respectable, but if there was at least an optional way to contribute, I would like to do that to help keep this business afloat during these tough times.

I will definitely be back to buy games once things in my life smooth out monetarily to keep supporting them this way too. Just wish there was a way I could at least contribute a little bit on these game nights they host because I really like them and want to go to more now that I discovered...

"Use your words"

I really liked the idea of this LGS. They always have a good stock of singles to choose from and a decent board game stock. But I've always left the store uncomfortable with the interactions. The interactions have never been long, long enough to check out and maybe pick up an online order but I've always felt uneasy. I always dismissed the feeling as maybe a joke that landed wrong or maybe mismatched humor.

But this last time, I felt entirely disrespected. I was in line, one staff member was talking to the person in front of me the other, the bearded man looked like he was pulling an order. I stepped up and both employees eyes were immediately glued to their computer screen. No problem I thought, maybe they're still busy pulling an order or something else caught their attention. So I started browsing the back wall, I was looking to buy a MTG box and pick up my online order.

Without looking at me, no acknowledgement, the bearded man goes "use your words".

At that point, I understood my previous feelings were never just me. And looking at other negative reviews, it looks like I'm not the only one. Each and every interaction that I left feeling uneasy was held with the bearded man. Who might be the owner of the store apparently, not the best look.

Personally, I'm avoiding this store and telling everyone I know to do the same. I don't think this person deserves your business or time.

I'll use my words sir. I've never had an issue with...
