GameStop — Local services in Carrollton

I came in right when they opened to get a copy of Pokémon Violet and some Pokémon plushies and the guy at the register was super rude. I wouldn’t be writing a review normally just because someone was rude because I work in customer service and I know how it is to be frustrated when customers come in right when we open but he wouldn’t let me do two separate transactions so I had to pay for all of it with my savings. I asked him if I could just pay for the copy with cash and the plushies with card, he told me that I SHOULD pay for it all together. No sir do not tell me what I SHOULD do with my money. Then he preceded to ask his coworker if she could do the register so he could answer the phone or whatever and then says that he’s “tired of this shit”...

I went in buying some pokemon card the twilight masquerade set to be specific and I wanted to price match with a competitor and I’ve had no issue price matching with other game stops in the pass I priced match with another game stop the week before and I was told game stop doesn’t price match even tho the policy states if you’re a valid pro member they can price match with competitor as long it’s sold and ship by them and the company who I was trying to price match with fell within the policy and I was told they were able to price match but when I got to the register to check out it was all of a sudden they weren’t able to price match and the associate there was named Zander or something...

The staff is incredibly friendly and clearly like what they do (even for folks like me who like retro games or offbeat indie games rather than AAA titles), but they have got to get their Saturday staffing down. I've walked out three times now because they will have ONE person working on Saturday, their busiest day of the week! You gotta know it's going to be weird on a Saturday - folks want to do trades which take forever, parents asking questions since they are taking their kids to get games, pre-orders, issues, etc. EVERY Saturday they have line with an absurd wait time in a store that is entirely too small.
