Has really gone down hill the past few years. Way too many menu changes, quality of food seriously compromised and the place is not set up very for larger groups. For the most part the staff is still pretty good, only a few that could use redirecting. Salad bar used to be the BOMB, now it is hit or miss on freshness and how all it is kept up. Hope it can be saved and brought back to the old ways.
New visit on 8/29/24 and no improvements. Server not very attentive at all. Drink went dry multiple times. Food quality still at a compromised state.
New visit again 7/31/25. Hoping for an improvement, yet getting a more disappointing result. This place has fallen to nearly deserving of a negative 3 star rating.
Quality of the food that I had even worse than before. Ordered meal and salad bar and wow, wouldn’t serve it to a wild opossum. Even a scavenging animal deserves better. Lettuce or what little bit there was, only had shredded and a bit of romaine, was wilted and browning. This was reported to multiple employees who only responded with the salad bar attendant would be out shortly.
Wife spoke to manager, Charles, and requested that salad bar be removed from meal. His response, very infuriating, was we would have to surrender salad plate. Meal was served and same worthless, wilted lettuce was used. The problem was they were awaiting the truck. The solutions would be simple and plentiful.
Charles, a lesson in management, 1st if you don’t have the tools for the job (proper and fresh ingredients in this case) don’t open for business. 2nd if you’re gonna open then get the proper tools, same scenario. 3rd in a food service business or any customer service style business, the customer is the income. If you fail the customer the income stops and the business goes under.
My wife emailed corporate about this. My expectation, well pretty much nonexistent at this point, because this place has been on a downhill slide for years and has now hit the end and the cliff is on the horizon. Most people in the area can probably remember the fate of RT in Douglasville, for those not from the area RT Douglasville no longer exists.
Corporate and district management and the franchise holder needs to address this before it’s too late. I will definitely not be going back to try it again. Not until I see a sign stating new management and a...
Read moreFirst let me say that my food was delicious and my server was wonderful—absolutely no fault or problem to be found! My husband and I visit the Ruby Tuesday, Carrollton, GA, location at least once a week on average and usually enjoy it. However, I have two complaints that have the potential to turn customers away: the inside temperature and the fact that there are no blinds in one area of the restaurant. First, the temperature: it’s OUTRAGEOUSLY COLD in the building! On Monday, 20 January at 11am, it was 59 degrees Fahrenheit and didn’t warm up any by the time my husband and I left, approximately an hour or so later. Again, on Tuesday, 21 January the temperature was 54 degrees at 11:38! This past summer, Ruby Tuesday went several weeks without proper air conditioning making dining uncomfortable for some and miserable for others. I watched as many customers literally turned around and left the restaurant. I find it difficult to understand why a popular restaurant like Ruby Tuesday can’t fix the heating and air. On a separate issue are the window blinds, or lack thereof. When sitting in the bar area of the restaurant in booths adjacent to the windows, one cannot modify the amount of sunlight streaming through the window—oftentimes it’s blinding. I’ve seen customers put on their sunglasses or ask to move to another table. And when the outside weather is warmer, it’s almost or is impossible to sit in a booth as it’s too hot. If one sits at a table in the area, the reflection from parked cars into the restaurant is unbearable. The server literally must stand with his/her back to the parking lot to properly see patrons’ faces! Surely, Ruby Tuesday can invest in proper blinds or adjustable shades. Again, the food is delicious, and the wait staff is great—Ruby Tuesday has the best salad bar to be sure. But I do hope that Corporate and Management will take corrective action to fix the heat and...
Read moreOkay, so I haven’t really been going to Ruby Tuesday for quite a while because I feel their food and service just aren’t worth the money. Unfortunately, that impression was reinforced this past Sunday.
I will say that our server was amazing—she took care of everything, was very attentive, and punctual—so I can’t fault her service at all. My problem is entirely with the food.
First, they brought out the cheese dip, and it was literally cold. The cheese had already thickened and was just room temperature. You could pick up the cast-iron container by hand, and it didn’t even feel warm. We had to ask them to heat it up, and they added an extra order for the inconvenience, which I appreciated.
Next, my mom’s steak came out. She asked for well-done, but it was very pink inside, so we had to get it corrected—which they did. I had the boneless buffalo wings with a side of fries, and I have to say, the wings looked like they had been cooked two days before we arrived. I requested extra sauce, but it wasn’t given until I specifically asked my waitress.
The mushrooms my mom ordered weren’t sautéed—they were burnt and looked like ashes. She couldn’t even enjoy them. My son’s food came out, and somehow honey mustard ended up on two of his chicken tenders, even though he didn’t order it. He only had ranch on his plate. I tried to get this corrected, but he didn’t want to bother because he didn’t want to wait any longer to eat.
Overall, I was extremely disappointed with the food quality. The portion sizes definitely do not justify the prices—you pay $16 for what looked like a kids’ meal, and the quality was poor. This is one of the main reasons I haven’t visited this chain for years—they have fallen off. I had hoped they were improving, but this visit made it clear that...
