I go to a lot of yard, garage & estate sales. I always find great deals at Carson City Estate Sales. Some estate sales companies have what I call Museum Sales where they put their items on display for outrageous prices. Then they’ll tell you oh it’s 50% off tomorrow? Cause if it’s too high then the Karen in me comes out and I get sarcastic with my comments. Then in the end they have to donate it to Goodwill. Makes no sense ! I won’t mention any names but you know who you are!( $10 dollar clamps from Harbor Freight that cost much less! )

As a journeyman carpenter I know the value of tools, overpriced tools is a strong indicator of an estate sales company that doesn’t know how working people get by so they price tools so high as to be unaffordable. As a reader of books I know that old books are not valuable just cause they are “vintage”! It’s the author! It’s the social impact, it’s the 1st edition, it’s the movie. It’s misprints and other things. Keep your old moldy chemistry books for $30! Give me the 1st Edition of hardcover Iceberg by Clive Clusser… for a dollar😃

Not at Carson City Estates sales. They seem to have a handle on the value of tools and books, and the need of people to get a bargain. Of course they have to balance the need to sell to benefit the client, make a profit, and giving consumers a good deal. Few estate sale companies can find that balance. Carson City Estate sales I feel does a good job. I keep coming back to Carson City Estate Sales with enthusiasm. Their sales are well organized, & clean. The representatives are always friendly & welcoming. You can see they work hard at what they do!
