Had to change my review.. UPDATE 04/21/25 Second review: I recently had a family friend who used this service for selling their gold. They went in when the price of gold was at $3,400.00 and to their surprise, they were only offered $800.00 for a massive 18k gold ring, three old molars with 18k gold teeth, and a pair of 14k earrings. The owner claimed that they only make $50 from the gold, but that seems highly unlikely! My advice is to weigh your gold before you take it and always record your transactions.

First review: Wow, just wow! I had the most amazing experience at this place. I was actually accompanying my mom's best friend, who is a bit older, on a trip here. We drove all the way from Sacramento, not knowing that they were closed on weekends. So, I just wanted to remind everyone to check their opening times online or make an appointment beforehand.

But here's best part - even though they were closed, I decided to give the door knob a try, and guess what? It opened! I walked inside and was greeted by a super sweet lady who was in the middle of helping another client. She still took the time to acknowledge me and asked how she could assist. I explained that we wanted to sell some gold, and she assured me that as soon as she was done with her current appointment, she would take a look at our items.

Let me tell you, they were not only efficient but also incredibly friendly and accommodating. They gave my mom's friend a fantastic price for her gold and even went the extra mile by giving her a little extra to buy lunch. That small gesture of kindness and generosity brought tears to my mom's best friend's eyes. It was such a beautiful moment.

I can't stress enough how honest and friendly they were throughout the entire process. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking to sell their gold or any other valuables or coins. Trust me, you won't be disappointed! Thank you kindly for your wife’s generous gesture!!! They even have donkeys 🫏...

The nicest people I have ever delt with!!! The more local coin shops I visit the more this one stands out astonishing excellent. Very fair prices listed on coins. They are happy to talk provide very good honest information. I have been to other coin shops that make you feel like they are doing you a big favor to help you. I come a very very long way to buy coins here if they dont have what I want they will get it at a reasonable price. Atmosphere is very home town no pressure to buy. Cant say enough nice.things. So looking forward to my next trip in November. 12FEB22 UPDATE!!! Slid in and saw AJ and his very lovely wife. Silver prices are up but was still able to find nice deals. It is so refreshing to go into a small family run business with zero pressure to buy anything. Just talking and learning about our hobby. After being ripped off twice by the competition a couple of blocks away, I was referred to Carson Valley Currency & Coins, INC. I am beyond grateful for the referral that Ruperts jewelry and repair had given to me. The very warm and inviting couple who owns the shop, (by far) exceeded my needs and expectations. Thanks to them giving me a fair price for my jewelry and coins, I was able to move successfully across the country. They are courteous, honest, and a life saver for someone like me who was in desperate need to aquire funds as fast as possible.
