Feel utterly ripped off, everything on the website was a lie. They weren't thinking of me at all I felt like they assumed I was just some guy off the street that they could low ball me so bad. For a 2016 uncirculated dollar set with a uncerculated oz silver walking liberty. They gave me 8 dollars for it!!! The set it's self is 200 and just the silver walking liberty is over 8 dollars. They couldn't even pay me for the price of silver?? Can't even buy my Nevada gold backs at gold price? Even though golds up? No they are not a coin shop this is a glorified pawn ship seeking to take advantage of people. I agreed to sell because I do not live in the are and it was a 3 hr drive for nothing if I didn't sell anything. They weren't even friendly, zero information from them, didn't even care if. Ilthis is one of those learning situations, I made a mistake takeng them for thier word on thier website. Even the set it's self says the monetary value of the silver is based on the price of silver. Utterly disgusted with Northern Nevada coin and its been the first time in years iv been to Carson city, Im definitely leaving with sour feelings, and regret even being in the situation where they chose to take advantage of me and my coins. Luckily I refused to sell my collections coins and other bullion because they were about to rip me off for even more!!! If any ones looking to sell any coins or bullion I recommend finding a better place to do so some one with actual integrity. Yesterday I finally got around to getting rid of collected gold jewelry that I have not worn in forever! I found this company Northern Nevada Coin, Carson City. Their website said they bought gold and as I am unfamiliar with the procedure I called to see if I needed an appointment and the person that answered the phone, Lisa, was so nice. She explained that they could take care of what I wanted to do and also told me anyone there could help me, just come in. When I arrived I looked around for barely a minute when I was greeted by Lori. She guided me to her private counter and proceeded to guide me about the jewelry I had brought in, explain the steps she was doing and encouraged me to ask questions. I was so surprised when she told me what I was going to receive for this old jewelry that was just sitting in my jewelry box gathering dust! It was such a nice experience. Lori is so knowledgeable and such a delight to speak with and the rest of the folks there also. They have a great jewelry selection and I must confess not only did I receive funds to leave with but I also found a one-of-a-kind ring that was exactly what I had been looking for, and at a great price. Lori was the one who helped me when I went into the store in November, 2023. She was very attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable, and I was quite impressed by her attention to detail and patience with handling everything that I asked about, or that I wanted to look at. I ended up buying some attractive coins on that trip. (I’ve been into the hobby since 1971 when I was 10 years old and bought my first roll of old wheatback Lincoln pennies out of the back of a comic book.) I do not live in Nevada. I’m in Northern California, about a 6-hour drive from Carson City. Lori worked with me over the phone, and helped me put together a mail order for some more nice coins in January of 2024. At first I was hesitant to do everything over the phone, but there are pictures of individual coins for sale on the NNC website, and that turned out to be how I put together my most recent order. Lori went through everything I wanted very thoroughly, and made sure the order was spot-on correct before shipping. The whole thing went very smoothly.
