One day craving for a pretzel with cheese, I opened up my phone did a search and Westside Pour House (WPH) popped up. So a phone call to verify their menu offerings we jumped in the car to WPH. Walked in and greeted immediately, wait staff was kind and accommodating by offering the menu and getting our drink order right away.
We have come in here on several occasions for Bloody Mary's (YES they are fantabulous) and what I would call our brunch aka lunch on a Sunday Funday for burgers & sandos.
Okay back to this review and this visit was specifically for the pretzel balls and we were NOT disappointed. House-made Pretzel Balls stuffed w/pepper jack cheese that were absolutely ooey, gooey OMCheesy Goodness! TOO DIE FOR! We also had Row's Chorizo Poppers w/fresh jalapenos and stuffed w/chorizo - yumm-o! Anddd we tried the Dry Rub Rib Bites that were bite-sized, flavorful and OMTASTY! We paired our food for me a Dirty Martini that was PERFECT! and for my hubby a Shoe Tree Porter.
We have since gone back because I have not stopped thinking about those house-made pretzel balls plus they have updated their menu and kitchen hours. Did I mention you can order anything to-go - WOOT WOOT!! On our 2nd time in I had the pretzel balls again and this time the kitchen staff asked if I would like jalapenos added inside to which I overzealously said YES! These were daBOMB dot com!! My husband got the Kit Carson Burger that was cooked to PERFECTION (medium) super juicy and flavorful. We will definitely be back to order in or take-out.
Added bonus this is smoke-free establishment with pool tables, electronic dart boards, some gaming at the bar with added perks to the comedy shows in town (see details inside or ask the GREAT staff). They have karaoke I believe one night a week which is always fun to watch or partake and LIVE music/bands on Friday nights occasionally, they participate during the monthly wine walk, Nevada Day and events that happen downtown - so be sure to check out their Facebook page...
Read moreWent here many months ago, precovid. We had zero expectations since the first time coming into the neighborhood pub and came on a whim and we were way overdressed. There were a few regulars in here at lunch time, some having a chill time and one guy nearly lights out with too much to drink. All good. Either way, the bartender was extremely personable and friendly, yet still professional. Beers were a bit slow to get to us, but found out she had to swap out the beer canister for a new one. Fresh is better than the bottom of the barrel. Atompshere is what you'd think, a bar. Here's the deal, we'd come back in a heartbeat!! Why? The bartenders outstanding service and the food, which happened to be the biggest shocker. The house tacos they make, wow, reminds me of the childhood ones your mom use to make....really just had an outstanding classic taste with their own sauce. The French fries, really proper English style and taste (even the oil they fry it in is on point), some of the best, if not the best fries I've had in CC. We were both caught off guard by the food's great taste, incredibly appetizing, so we'll definitely try the same and a few more items next time. No calorie counting here....there is some grease, these aren't fresh Mex...
Read moreWe love the Pour House. It really has become our go-to place for just some relaxing time with friends. The staff is courteous, friendly and even helpful at times. Service is relatively fast even at high traffic times like Saturday nights. We go primarily for drinks and pool and the karaoke. And we have yet to have a bad time. We've met some great people at the Pour House and made some friends. The Pour House serves drinks at the bar, or you can take your drinks to any of the many tables throughout the place. Two pool tables are available...$1 per game. There's a kitchen and you can order food, but I can't really comment on that part because I've only ordered food once. Saturday nights the karaoke machine is busy all night...and there are a surprising number of pretty good singers that get to belting out some tunes. That's actually how I first discovered this place: I was walking down the street, heard music, thought it was a live band, walked in and ... lo and behold, it was a woman singing to the music on a karaoke machine. Very nice: I was hooked. The people are a good blended mix of young and old. If you're looking for a good time out, you can make it happen here. I recommend you...
