I've gone to Rich multiple times for my son's hair cut, 1st hair cut was decent, not exactly what I wanted but my son was excited for the new style so I let it be. The next time I went I explained what I wanted and for some reason Rich cut it too short no biggie it can grow in. Another time I notice Rich was cutting it too short again from what I asked I had to stop him before he messed up what I was asking for even more then what he did already. Today was the final straw to break the camels back I've gone with Rich cause he was my friends family and I wanted to support his business, but today was a mess up that there is no fixing or waiting to grow in my son's hair is messed up beyond repair. I said take an inch off the top evenly. My son was left with roughly 3in in the front and if we're lucky an inch in the cack. The Cesar was brought really high on the left side and left where it normally was on the right. My son head now will take 6 months to grow in and start from scratch. What a error just before school picture day not what I wanted or my son either. So yeah last time I go and try to support this place again it's unfortunate but more unfortunate for my son that will take the next 6 month's to try to bring his cut back to normal....Update. Rich has txt my personal number multiple time as if I'm his friend completely unprofessional making excuses for his poor job and texting me in ways completely unprofessional its really annoying and for someone representing this company he should rethink his actions. At the end of the day it's simple. Own up to your mistake and be better for your future customers. You may have lost this customer but more will come hopefully and you can do...

I've been here about 3 times and although the wait time and service isn't all that bad, the lack of attention to detail is what killed it for me. I explained to the barber on each ocassion that I have a cowlick on my hairline and it needed to be cut around to prevent from pushing my hairline back. The first haircut, I noticed it was pushed back but because I typically keep my hair very short and other people told me it wasn't so bad, I let it be. The second time, the haircut was a bit better so I figured I explained my hairline situation better. The third time was the nail in the coffin for me. It felt like there was barely any pressure being applied when cutting my hair, as if someone were being too delicate to cut a nail. It just felt really lazy and on top of that, my hairline is super crooked now. Now, I'm forced to grow my hair out more in hopes that someone else can fix it for me, as best as they can.

It's a shame because it's a nice spot and the people are chill, but I made it very clear that this was the only other time I let someone else cut my hair, and my hairline was very important to me. Going to the same barber for over 20 years living in Brooklyn made me feel like I can't trust anybody else doing my hair, and this proved it to me. Maybe someone else in Carteret can attend to...

I have been coming here for over a year now, and I really enjoyed the haircuts. I will never be returning here again however, due to horrible management of the business. I made an appointment two weeks ago and he texted me saying he needed more time but never texted me back when to come in. I ended up scheduling another appointment today despite of that because I really need a haircut and tomorrow is my birthday. I told him that I need one bad and that it’s my birthday tomorrow so I need to get it done. He told me I was good to come in around 6:30-7. I arrived at 7 and the barber shop was closed down and no one was inside. I called him and he told me “ I was trying to figure out who my 7 is. My bad. Ill try to get in now.” I asked where he was and he told me he was in patterson which is 40 minutes away. I told him dont worry about it im going somewhere else.I texted him about it too after and he left me on read. I tried to go to other places but everywhere is closed now. So now i wasted my time and money to get there and still dont have a haircut for my birthday. Thanks for the best...
