I was very disappointed with my service at Finldey's Butcher Shop. I stop by in the afternoon to purchase around 30$ of highly recommended jerky from an employee. After getting home to enjoy my highly recommended jerky I was met with disbelief and discomfort from the unearthly, dry, and leathery resemblance of jerky. When I say this was the worst jerky, I mean it. Now the service part of the review. I called ahead of time to make sure a refund would be issued for the dry boot leather jerky. The employee told me that I can collect a refund and would make good on it. When I arrived I was told very unprofessionally that if I only eat Jack links brand jerky, that I won't like theirs, assuming my palate has only had jack links beef jerky and that no refund will be given on the bag that was missing 1 piece, which was the only taste I needed to ensure I'll never purchase this jerky again. I advise anyone that is a jerky connoisseur to stay far away from this product and expect no refund on it when you aren't happy with it. I was a repeat customer that was lost to a more understanding Butcher shop. I am giving this facility 1 star because I was refunded on the unopened product but NOT on the package...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāll do 3 stars because other than this issue, their meats are good. However, they no longer take deer on Saturday's, when most people who have full time jobs like to hunt. First I was told it was because of being short staffed. Which is kinda understandable. But when I walked in there were 3 employees and no customers. The female employee gave me tips on how to keep my meat on ice until Monday, but unfortunately that wouldnāt work for me. So I said thank you for the info and went to head out the door. But then the older man behind the counter, for absolutely zero reason, got an attitude and said all we (hunters) did was ābog down his business on the weekends when we came ināā¦..last time I checked, bringing in a deer to process is businessā¦.
Iāll drive the extra 10-15 min to the other location in Acworth from now on for my deer. Unusual interaction today. Hopefully he was just having a bad day and I was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBeen meaning to do this; I typically (not as much as I'd prefer) only go to Butcher shops for my meat, I use to live in Jacksonville Florida and did the same. This shop is probably a close 1st best I've been to so far, they want to know what you want such as cuts, how you plan on cooking the meat, what you typically eat the most, or are you willing to try something a bit different? A lot of variety here, you just need to drop in and look around, the website isn't like walking in and seeing for yourself. They have very nice package prices, reasonable subs can be made too. I hear one of their stores actually has an onsite dietitian that will take doctors orders and map out meal plans etc. (I think but don't quote me). Great place! Once you've gone to a Butcher, grocery store meat just...
