We were very dissatisfied with the service yesterday. We rented a facility to host our volleyball games, which were dedicated to our national holiday. During the opening ceremony, while we were singing our national anthem, a woman around 50-60 years old — I’m not sure of her exact role, maybe a supervisor or someone responsible for order — ran in and interrupted us right in the middle of the anthem.

We only needed 10–15 minutes for the opening, but she started yelling and even threatened to kick us out. There was no one else using the nearby courts, so we weren’t disturbing anyone. Later, we were also forbidden from holding a closing ceremony.

Opportunities for Improvement: Parking can be difficult to find. Need to allow extra time to find a spot. Did not like the indoor soccer field for 11 YO. Playing field was too small for 7 on 7. Some games only had 2-4 shots on goal all game. Most of the time was lost to throw ins. Clock starts running prior to game actually kicking off, so teams lose a minute or more of playing time. Occasionally the ball goes between the dividers and over a minute is lost retrieving it. Overall, did not feel we got our money's worth. I have been brining my girls soccer teams to Canlan sports complex winter league for many years. I have multiple teams in different locations. We also travel out of town for showcases in the sunshine. Angel Garcia is by far the best league organizer i have worked with the past 10 years in the Chicago area. schedules are out promptly. He does everything in his power to accommodate requests from coaches. This season i have 5 teams in the winter league. I am basically back to back games most of the time. As a coach with a family this is perfect. 5 games at other facilities could turn into a 14 hour day spread out as they couldnt care less elsewhere. thank you Angel Garcia for doing such a great job...
