UPDATE... Quite possibly the worst experience I've had in this store. The woman working the counter could not be more rude, disrespectful, or sacraligous. After discussing the price of an item being sold as a set and being told "it's a set were selling separately" ...To which I replied how does that work? By definition a set is a group not an individual item. She replied "What ever, you have a blessed day sir!" ... The dismissive tone and horrible attitude was totally uncalled for and unappreciated. The worst if it all is that she used a "blessing" as a way to mask or veil her aggression. In a store claiming to be all about Christ. This sort of god driven passive aggression is horrible, disrespectful to all especially the higher power and clearly reflects poorly on a "Christian" store. UPDATE... Sad to say things are still the same. Let me say it should be 3.5 stars just not close enough to 4 to put it over the top. The furniture area is poorly organized and you can't get through with a cart much less a walker or wheel chair. Disorganized is the main theme of the store and it carries through out. Prices are hit and miss. Often you'll find items priced higher than new, but someone there has a clue when it comes to pricing and you do find a quality thrift shop buy every now and then. The store is well lit, clean, and seems to go through cycles of having full shelves to having large sections of empty shelves especially in the children's and men's clothing. Staff is friendly. All in all a decent...
Read moreRescued Treasures is a unicorn case of a truly apt name. Their selection is unbeatable. Every trip is different. It's like going on a treasure hunt because you never know what you'll find. I might not have much money, but I don't feel like it when I shop here.
This store is clean and the staff here keep it running beautifully despite the hectic nature and discombobulation of a thrift shop. Everything is organised in a way that helps customers find what they're looking for. Nothing is in a haphazard pile, there are shelves and racks and they're maintained frequently.
I've been going here for about 2 years, and just about every time, I find exactly what I want. Vintage Plush for a dollar? You bet. Plus size designer jeans for a fiver? I've filled my closet. I make battle jackets and modify clothing as a hobby, and Rescued Treasures has steadily met my demand flawlessly.
Give these people a shot and support a local business with roots that help sustain this...
Read moreI am not from Casper, but was traveling through and wanted to see if they had any jeans in my size. I actually found a pair, and pretty quickly, but when I went to pay I saw that every employee was engaged in affirmations of a religious nature. Now, donât get me wrong, I am all for people and their various religions, but to be chatting away during business hours is not what everyone in the store seemed to appreciate. There were other customers patiently waiting for checkout. I am not as patient, I had a schedule to keep, so standing around while they are in their religious ceremony was not something I was willing to do. Yes, I left. If you want to hang around and watch the employees go through their religious practice then more power to you, if not then I suggest not going at opening, wait an hour, or there is a Goodwill down the road that opens earlier. It is a decent secondhand store, just not the place for a...
