I have two starts instead of one because their products are a decent value; however, their customer service is awful. Buyer beware!!! I got a gift card from TJ Maxx for my wife's birthday. Turns out that, although my wife likes to shop at TJ Maxx, she really wanted a gift card from a hobby store. TJ Maxx employees and manager tood me they have no way of refunding gift cards. Talk about cop-outs!!! So, i called their customer service and spoke with a representative, who i was connected to through selecting the "gift card" dept. He said he couldn't help me and transfered me to "someone who dealt with gift cards". That person turned out to be with Synchrony Bank. That person told me she couldn't help me so she transfered me back to the TJ Maxx gift card dept!!! What an awdul experience! Basically, TJ Maxx has robbed me of a good sum of money. I’ve gone in several times for returns and each time has been a pleasant experience, which is hard to find these days. I really appreciate the staff working so hard to keep this store so clean and provide a wonderful shopping experience for their customers. When you first walk in the door, there is always a cute little display of goods that are current with the season or the next holiday coming up. I tried to put an item on hold and and he wouldn’t let me, when I tried to give him the items I wasn’t purchasing he almost wouldn’t take them. Then scoffed when he did. I was in line, but got out of line because they were very short staffed at the front and I had already waited in line for a while.
