ALDI — Local services in Cedar Rapids

I’ve gotta say I love Aldi, I have zero complaints about this location. The thing that annoys me is how totally snobby or plain rude every cashier I have been to inside this store is. Your higher ups really need to have a few lessons on public relations and well, how about just your basic, everyday etiquette?? I’m pretty sure these young people didn’t grow up without learning to say- how are you today? - do you need any assistance?- Please.- Thank you and please come again- or- Have a nice day. It’s common courtesy and it’s also better for business. But they don’t do or say anything at all except “$123.45.” Or whatever the total is. And that’s it! No smile, no thanks, nothing. I usually never complain But having only lived in Iowa at the time for about five months, and never haven’t been inside of an Aldi store, I really could’ve used a kind word and some assistance. This ALDI is cheating with customers by compromising the weighing scale at the billing counter. All of my grocery items weighted more at the billing counter than the actual weight. I also observed that most of the time, they keep the second last counter(with improper weight scale) open and remaining counters closed. On top of that, their attitude was too bad when i told them that it weighted much more than the analog weighing scale near the fruits section. Today, is the third time that I caught this issue. They already know about this issue since I reported twice in this month, But they took no action. Please find the attached receipts for the refunds given to me when I complaint. My major concern is that I have been purchasing my grocery since long time from ALDI, I don't know how much did I overpaid until I notice this issue...

Good discount grocery store. BRING A QUARTER. You need one to put in the shopping cart to use it while you shop, when you chain it back up you get your quarter back. But they have good products for a great price. Alot of the products are there own brand which is why they are so cheap, but most of it is still really good quality. We just moved to the area and we will for sure be coming back for a lot of our grocery shopping. Also, as this is a green community you either need to bring a grocery bag, or buy one. They scan your products and put them in a cart for you to take to a counter near by and bag the way you want with your own bags. You can buy big paper bags pretty cheap (7 cents I think).
