This was honestly the worst service I have ever experienced. While the issue has recently been resolved, if youre willing to read, this whole issue went on for 7 MONTHS.
I came to them in early September of ‘24 with a 3DS XL, asking for a reassemble of the system since I’m not the greatest at tech stuff. They took a look at it and mentioned that there can be a slight chance of the cables breaking since they’re delicate, which is completely understandable, and sure enough one of them did, they gave me a call, told me they were going to reorder the parts, said it would take anywhere from 2-5 weeks for the new parts to come in. Fast forward a month later when I ask for an update, they tell me they HAVENT EVEN ORDERED THE PARTS. At first I was chill about it, said okay I’ll call back in a month, after a month went by I called again, said they’re still waiting and said they were having issues with tracking and said it could be another month. This whole issue went on until February, where I called again asking what’s going on since I never hear back from them unless I call them. Finally they give me an update on how there was some issues from the shipping end which I understand, and they said they’re expecting the new parts to come in the next shipment within 2-3 weeks. Fast forward to now, early April of ‘25 two months later, still nothing. I go there myself, ask for an update, and yet they STILL say nothing has come in, I took my stuff and left, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. At no point was I called about an update unless I made the effort to do so.
UPDATE: 4/17/2025
The owner of Game N Repair, Ross, gave me a call about the situation and offered to repair the device himself and did so. Everything was fixed, no issues whatsoever. While this doesn’t change the issue of what went on for 7 months, it’s good to know the owner truly cares about customer service and having...
Read moreA while back, I had dropped my phone and cracked the corner of the screen, after a while the image started degrading slowly and the touch screen started not working properly either. I need my phone for work, too take pictures and too make calls, so this is extremely disruptive too my life when I can't pick up calls because the touch screen decided too stop responding at certain times. I had tried calling this business but my call was not picked up. A text bot had then messaged me asking me what my problem was, it then told me that I would be contacted soon. I was never contacted, so I had too drive too the business too get an appointment set up. After talking to an employee, I was told that the part was ordered and I would be called when it arrived. After not being contacted for about a week, I called and was told that my screen was never ordered, and he then ordered it. After some time, the screen came, my phone was fixed, and I paid and left. After a day or two, I learned that my microphone was suddenly not working, I had too then call the business again and come in too get it fixed. Which is a big deal because I have almost no free time too go out of my way too do this. When I got there he said the microphone shifted due too something with the repair, he adjusted it, and I left without paying as this was a problem caused by the previous repair. After a couple more days my microphone stopped working again. I will not be coming back, I will not be recommending this business to anyone else. I'm extremely disappointed in the service. My phone is a vital part of my job and it made it very hard too do my job which I had made very clear too him. I suggest that you do not go here if you need a repair done in any timely manner at all, or apparently done correctly. UPDATE: I was contacted by the owner and refunded my money, I will still be taking my...
Read moreBeen going to this store on and off for over a year. Ross has a nice store and has worked with me to help and fix a couple consoles. I’ve refrained from writing a review, but they should be more diligent/honest with communicating to their customers on repair times, or if a console repair can even be done. It took me about a year to get my Sega Game Gear back (even though it was done for months) and they lost the game that I had left with it. I dropped off my Sega Nomad to get looked at on Black Friday and haven’t heard back yet after 5-6 weeks later. There are no excuses for this.
Edit: After speaking to Ross he apologized for the time it took and I can confirm that he did fix my ps3 for free and also didn’t charge me for the game gear repair. The reason the ps3 sat on his done shelf for 8 months was because I could never get a reply from anyone about the game gear and didn’t want to drive an hour to the store more than once for separate items which he agreed with. Going back to me dropping off the Sega Nomad and the whole purpose of this review is to please inform your customers with a quote and timeline of a repair before ordering parts. Every time I tried to communicate and call I couldn’t get an answer. Will another customer come in to this store looking to repair a sega game gear/sega nomad? Probably not, but there should be communication somewhere mentioning problems/solutions, or a simple no quote in a timely matter rather than waiting 5-6 weeks wondering what...
