Heinrich's Decorating Nook — Local services in Center Line

I found this shop many years ago. I did very little decorating for a while, but now that I'm getting mildly back into it, Heinrich's was on my list to restock my supplies. On my last visit, I picked up some new pan shapes and sizes, plus colored cupcake papers, cake boards, etc and assorted decorating "stuff". We had a very successful party. Heinrich's always has an overabundance and the latest shape pans etc. By the way, I left my clipboard of notes, etc. The staff set it aside by the register and I came back for it an hour later when I realized it was missing. Thank you Heinrich's staff! P.S. Yes, it's an old building. So what? The shop is busy, busy, busy, so the stock isn't old. And I love the reviewer who said they wouldn't be taking any classes because they 'weren't an old lady'. I sure wouldn't want to eat what they cook because they think they already know it all. We own a bakery and we come here very often for various supplies and edible images for our orders and have been giving them business for a couple of years now. however I ordered an edible image yesterday morning that they told me was going to be ready the next day. I came in at 9am when they opened to pick it up and unfortunately I was met with short greetings and impatient responses. There was two workers in the entire store with only one other customer and the girls proceeded to tell me that they “wouldn’t be able to do it because of the lack of staff”. I expressed to them that I had a cake order to be picked up by 11 but they still seemed unwilling to help or service a customer in need. I love this store. They have all the things that make my baking endeavors look professional. I have been coming here off and on for years. It started with baking cupcakes and cookies for my son when he was a little fella in school. He loved the way I decorated and frosted the cupcakes he shared with his classmates, and the shapes of the cookies I baked. The boxes and presentations were top notch. But let’s fast forward to the grandkiddos, I enjoy seeing them enjoy opening the boxes and containers that host the beautifully iced and decorated cupcakes and banana puddings.
