When I was a kid I got a bad haircut once and I cried for hours. Now I am 28 and I am crying again. I usually go to high dollar salons and have great haircuts but I am attempting to grow my hair out from the chin length, cute, edgy, piecey, bobs that I have been sporting for years to something longer and easier to maintain. It's too hard to find people who know how to cut and texture those hairstyles well enough.
I've finally almost grown my shortest later down to my chin. My hair was about two inches longer than chin length all the way around.
Crunched for time, I stopped at this shop. I live on the same block and figured that it would be just a trim, how could anyone mess that up? I should have ran away the minute I saw someone sleeping on the guest couch.
I simply asked for a trim. I stated that I did not want to lose any length, that I have been growing it out. I just want it to have a more uniform look(cohesive). I wanted to keep the over all length but have it look like an actual hair cut and not a shaggy grown out mess.
She seemed very confident and whisked me away. she explained that she would not trim the back. I said, "no no. if anything take a little of the back but keep the front." She then told me she would cut a little faceframe. I figured that would be fine as the front was much longer and went straight down to a blunt edge.
What she did was immediately cut the length of the front and sides of my hair in half! She did NOT trim my hair! She gave me a completely different haircut from the 70s.
That problem layer that took years for me to grow out, well it is gone but now the whole front and sides of my hair is that short and layered. She did not touch the back of my hair, the part that i hate when it's longer than the front. I've cried all day. I can't even his it in a little pony tail because my entire crown forward is too short. SHE NEVER ONCE ASKED if I would want my hair to look any different. She never asked to change the style of my hair.
I look like a boy from the 70s-80s with a feathered mullet. I am so embarrassed. All that time I spent growing my hair out I am going to have to spend two times over. I've never had my hair this short in the front or on the sides. I just wanted a small trim to even up the overgrown. I'm honestly devastated...
Read moreI new based on the reviews going in it was going to be bad, but boy oh boy what a nightrmare. my hair was the longest its over been , past my shoulders ,i just wanted some ends off- well she took of my ends, half the length ( so cut so short its under the chin) on one side of my ( so from the front to my ears its chin length , but on on one side) cut layers that sit like a bob over the original length so the layers are not ligned up.... lookes like a triangle cut into the back of my head) the back is the longest and is horrifically longer than the side that isnt below the chin. I dont get how someoen could still have their license when they cut hair like this!! Her neice was their pacing back and forth the entire time, when i asked the stylist said "oh shes special needs I make her walk to keep her busy and to prevent her from getting fat".... Please seek somewhere else... any where else for...
Read moreToday on November 5, 2020, I called the establishment because I had to request something from a supervisor. I had almost forgotten what I had called for because I was taken aback due to the rude woman that picked up the phone. I was genuinely shocked that this establishment would allow her to represent their business with her discourteous ill-mannered attitude and tone. She not only refused to inform me when a supervisor would be there, but demanded my name, and hung up on me to top it off. I wasn't even calling as a consumer, but I'd hate to think of how she treats actual customers. Let alone how this establishment runs a business when people walk through their front door to spend their hard-earned money. This is completely inexcusable and I hope this reaches the eyes of anyone considering picking up the phone to place an appointment with...
