I have lived on van dyke for 6 yrs and every summer we stop here at least 20 times before it closes. But that has all stopped as of yesterday. I always order a strawberry š short cake shake as of late the cake š has been a little light no biggie but this time on my cheat day I made sure to mention that and offered to pay up charge if need be but I just wanted it made right this time for my cheat day. One time for the one time. I changed my order from a small to a medium. The girl had already started my small before I paid. Which is great š for fast service but instead of making the medium right she just put strawberry at the bottom and the small on top. I probably donāt need the extra cake. But on my cheat day, the first decently hot day here in a while, I picked this as my snack and itās just not right. I go back they just closed I knocked on the window but all the girls ignored me. I did this several times until I got smart and went to the drive thru where they could see I was just here holding my cup up desperately for help I looked like Oliver when he went back for seconds. I didnāt care I was desperate! The girl told me to step to the back to talk. I explained to her how I always stop here, and get this, and how I mentioned I wanted extra cake and offered to pay if a charge and that the bottom was clearly just strawberry and if I could have it made right. She expressed the machines being down and safety hazards arising to turn them back on. Which is also odd as you have to turn them on in the morning. Wouldnāt the same issues arise then as well??? Anywho, she goes to say they donāt mind making it tomorrow although I expressed wanting to come back a later date as tomorrow doesnāt work with me following a tight diet plan if I cheat tomorrow I mine as well cheat the next day, make that all week, there goes the rest of May, all for my order to be made right. I mean why tomorrow why not next week, same day but a little earlier this time so if it is wrong I can get it fixed and itās no biggie. But not only do I have to come the next day but I also have to give her my current shake..... WOW š®. Again this no biggie but aren't you just going to throw it away. So your telling me I have to give up the item I already waited in line 20 mins for, picked over other establishments, and paid for cause she didnāt offer my money back until tomorrow I now have to give back.... WOOOOOOWWWWW I would like to add the wait was actually okay by me it was like yeah girl you stand here and earn that shake. Which before was cool š I need to stand since Iām having the shake but now that my order is wrong, and I have to give it back thatās an issue. I just walked away. I could see this was going no where and clearly me being a customer of six years bringing countless relatives and friends to your establishment meant nothing. I said, that I was going to just let this go, you all no longer receiving my patronage would be due justice. Until today when I found my loyalty card. So much for loyalty š¤·š½āāļø. The kids stayed in the car and I ordered. 1 medium chocolate cup w/sprinkles, 1 large chocolate cup w/sprinkles and a medium chocolate malt. The ice creams were in a bag and she handed me my malt. I should have checked the bag. They were vanilla. The kids said it was fine but I noticed my son wasn't eating his, and it's his birthday. So we went back. Nobody at the drive thru. I didn't say anything about the mess up and ordered a large chocolate cup w/sprinkles. She came back to the window with one half the size of a large. I said "that's a large?" She said "yes" I showed her the vanilla one from earlier and said "isn't this a large?" She said "that's just the cup she put it in". She didn't care one bit. Old saying goes if youāre gonna be rude you need to do your job well. If you cannot? You need to tone it on down.
