The venue is beautiful! I absolutely adore how my wedding day turned out, however I am rating this venue based off of the Convenience and what you get for the price you pay. First off for convenience: Benhams Grove allows you 6 hours for your original purchase of the property. Your time begins as soon as the doors to the buildings are unlocked. You are allowed to start setting up on the property outside two hours prior to your start time. Weddings take a lot of prep time. Not to mention that most of the people setting up are family members that have to get ready for pictures as well. 6 hours is not enough time. It’s $300 an hour after the 6 originally purchased which is absolutely outrageous. We purchased 3 extra hours. Then, the day of... there was only a groundskeeper at the venue for a very short amount of time making sure that everything was cleaned up from the event the night before. There were no outdoor restrooms for us to use as we were setting up. People had to use the bathroom but since we weren’t allowed into the buildings we couldn’t go. Not to mention the fact that we wanted to purchase an extra hour and get in the buildings early but no staff member was available and we had no contact number to reach someone to let them know. Over all we paid about $4,700 plus for the whole day. You’d think that since there are no other events going on that we should be allowed into the buildings whenever we want. Also, the landscaping could have been way better for how much we paid. The gardens needed weeded and new mulch. The grass was a little long and could have been cut. Obviously those things didn’t matter to me in the grand scheme of things on my day but for how much money we paid, you’d think they would have the venue in pristine condition. The staff member that finally arrived at the venue was very rude to my event coordinator. Also we were supposed to have the venue until 11. That is when the buildings were to be locked up and everyone off the premises. My poor grandmother who spent all day setting up and tearing down, didn’t get to be a part of all the fun.. was locked out of the house by 10:20 and all our stuff was still Inside. She had to find the staff member and get it unlocked again to get our stuff out. If 11 is the time we should be gone.. why were the doors being locked up at 10:20??? Katie (the staff member) was rude and rushing us out. Poor convenience, poor service, and poor conditions for the...
Read moreWedding and reception. Large tent with electric was festive enough. Good footing. Adequate onsite parking. Well-kept grounds good for strolling. On busy street but little traffic noise inside property. Experience depends on weather: no large indoor meeting place, restrooms in separate building. Wheelchair accessible but expect to go across turf and slightly uneven paths. Small kitchen available for final food prep or storage if needed. We had 150 people and no complaints except wishing restroom location was...

Walking into the there little shack where the guys was using for a changing room. There were wallets and money and phones and whatnot laying around. Walking around the wedding area while my sons wedding was taking place. Just made EVERYONE very uncomfortable. (acted like a...
