I called and asked about a foot pedal for my machine. The lady said they had ordered so they would be in. I asked if she knew when, she said she had no idea. I called the following day to ask if they’d gotten them in. The lady was very vague. And it seemed as if she was irritated that I was calling to ask. Neither person had the slightest inkling of when they might possibly be in. Then rattled off my name and number taken the previous day. I’ve been shopping around for a new Pfaff. And I’m considering going with a different brand just to avoid dealing with people like them as Pfaff dealers are spread out so thin. But I can guarantee I won’t be shopping in this store. Sad really, customer service is dead.
Update In response to your reply and your phone call: I wasn’t told that I had ordered the pedal. I was told that your store had some on order. I’m not upset about someone not getting back to me in a timely manner. I’m upset that you’re staff was bothered by my phone calls and questions. And if you ordered this part for me, I was not told that. Please cancel the order. I’ll take my business elsewhere. I understand as a manager you’re trying to fix this and while I appreciate it. It’s a little too late, at this point if I were you, I would educate my staff on how to treat people. Even if I were not that smart and it was my mistake for calling back. I should not have been talked to in this way. But I am smart, this was not my mistake that your staff did not communicate that I was specifically ordering a pedal of which they were clueless on any timeframe of when I could expect...
Read moreI recently took my sewing machine to get fixed. It is from the 90s so I was expecting there to be issues repairing it, which ended up happening. I was told there was a "base" piece that was no longer being manufactured. I did ask for more detailed notes on the broken part, in hopes I could find an electronics shop to fix the board if that was the issue, but I was told there weren't any outside of a "base" piece being broken.
I was a little suspicious that there weren't any more notes but it was noted that they had at least provided basic cleaning and servicing still, free of charge. After opening the machine at home, I don't think they even provided that, as the bobbin area was still filled with a lot of lint. This did end up breaking my trust that the service team did their due diligence with looking at my machine and unfortunately I don't think I would go back to Sew-A-Lot for any future sewing machine services...
Read moreI seem to have a knack for jamming up a sewing machine. This time I called Sew-A-Lot in Centerville. They came to my rescue. I took my Brother sewing machine to them and was ready to leave it with them for an estimated 2 weeks so they could look at it and fix it. I was ready to lay down the fee required for them to look at it. But guess what! Before she checked it in and sent me on my way, Carmen said, “Let me look at it first”.
She took it apart, showed me how to clean it and how often I should do that. She even checked a YouTube video to see how to remove one of the covers and then she found the problem, fixed it, showed me how to fix it if it happens again and then sent me home with my working machine!! No charge just total efficiency and kindness!
What a fantastic place!! Thank you Carmen and Sew-A-Lot,...
