We live some distance from the Rogue Valley and have used Judy's a couple of times in the past and were very satisfied. The service was good during our phone-in order and the recipient was pleased with the bouquet, but when she texted us a photo of the bouquet we discovered we'd been charged an outrageous price compared to the bouquets and prices listed in the ad, and compared to what other florists have charged us recently for similar arrangements. We will definitely look elsewhere next time. Feeling scammed.
In response to the response my review received from Judy's Central Point Florist, the owner mentions some honesty is needed. Okay, here goes. As I mentioned in my review we have received good service in the past from this florist, but NOT this time. I tried to order an arrangement of red roses and lilies in a nice vase pictured on the company's website, but was told Judy's was out of red roses, so I agreed to pink roses and lilies. Instead, the arrangement consisted of three red roses - one of the roses was in really bad shape, one lily was an unopened bud, one was had just started to open and the other lily was mostly opened, but none of them were as pictured in the photo. The nice vase turned out to be a bud vase with the arrangement crammed into it.
I did not accuse anyone of being a thief because we did receive something in the transaction, although it was not what we thought we were receiving, hence, my use of the phrase "feeling scammed." The owner goes on about how much work they put in to deliver the goods. Welcome to the world of small business ownership, my friend. Owning a business does take lots of effort if one wishes to be around for awhile, and even then there is no guarantee the business will last. I know lots of small business owners who put in way more hours than you talk about.
The owner indicates his time in the Marine Corps, his time dealing with city council matters, and his time as a coach makes him a honorable person. Maybe he is. I don't personally know him or his family, so I can't say whether he is honorable or not, but just Google "Marine, city councilman, or youth coach convicted of crime" and you will find belonging to any of those groups does not guarantee a person is honorable. AND TO BE EXTREMELY CLEAR, I AM NOT ACCUSING ANYONE WORKING AT, OR FOR, JUDY'S FLOWERS IN CENTRAL POINT, OREGON OF EVER BEING CONVICTED OF ANYTHING, I'm just pointing out that not all members of any group are honorable people. There are good and bad people in all groups.
I hold myself somewhat accountable for situation because I took a not-in-person chance on past performance and service without getting the exact details first. That comes from trusting people, but I'm one of those "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me" people, so as I mentioned in my review, I will take my business elsewhere next time. Hopefully, Judy's does better for other people...
Read moreI rarely do reviews but I had to do this one. It's been almost TWO WEEKS since I had flowers delivered to my mom and she just sent me a pic (I live out of state now) telling me how beautiful her flowers still are! The balloon wilted lol but the flowers still look just about as fresh as the day she got them! After 2 weeks! She will still be able to enjoy them for awhile and they have brought her much happiness. Thank you for your excellent services and florists! You did same day delivery which was so important to me and the flowers are still amazing! It made my moms birthday special. Your on-line ordering system is easy to use, I ordered her flowers, a balloon and chocolates and your prices are very fair. I am so happy with my experience I will never order through any one else. Thank you for helping me to bring happiness to my mom I was so surprised and happy to hear how beautiful the flowers still are after 2 weeks I had to tell you and hopefully other potential customers will read this review and choose you as their florist...
Read moreI used this florist after reading the nice reviews...evidently it makes a difference if you're calling from out of state. I learned the hard way thinking I could trust them to do a good job on the arrangement I ordered for my son-in-law's mother's memorial service. When my daughter called to thank me for the flowers I asked her to send me a picture of the arrangement. When I told her how extremely disappointed and embarrassed I was she asked me how much I had paid. When I told her $85 ($75 flowers/$9.99 delivery) she said I hate to tell you this but I think they took advantage of you. The flowers themselves were nice but it looked like they were grabbed and stuck in a vase (a very plain vase). I wish now I would have donated the $85 to the family. It would have been put to...
