Outsider Coffee — Restaurant in Central Point

Inexperienced worker gave me iced milk. Tried to reach out to customer service because I try to give companies the opportunity to resolve poor experiences but I never heard back.

I ordered my drink and the girl asked if I had a stamp card and I told her I don’t, but have a phone number if she can use that for points (it was my first time going) she laughed and said ‘I guess I am too new for that I wouldn’t know’ so I immediately knew the girl was new, However she was entirely alone- no one else was there with her. I explained, I wasn’t sure either if a phone number could be used I was also new there and was just giving it as an option, but if you guys do stamp cards I would gladly take one. She then walked to the back and up front and looked around a little before leaning out the window and saying, “uhmm… do you know what’s in that drink?” So I looked up at the menu again because I had not known both flavors (it was the Outlaw) so I told her an Irish cream vanilla breve, she then said ‘breve’ sounding confused so I said yeah so just half and half instead of milk. Once I received my drink it was very apparent she ONLY did half and half, vanilla and Irish cream.. there was no espresso in my drink at all.

When ordering you are handed the card machine prior to the drink being made, so I immediately am offered the option to tip. So I paid for my drink and tipped, being charged for an iced milk.. this was a very disappointing experience and had I known- I unfortunately would not have given a tip or accepted the drink. However when nobody else was even working at the shop there was no solution.

Unfortunately with just two cars ahead of me I waited 26 minutes and was late for work…I asked for an extra hot and it was Luke warm. I mentioned my frustration and that I was going to be late for work…the lady who was alone for the majority of the time, I waited apologized and mentioned she can only steam coffees so fast…the other very, rude, employee? That popped in as I was paying said it was my choice to wait and she was correct…I won’t be going back. No one has...

Coming from the east coast and California I have struggled to find good coffee here in Oregon. I have to say Outsider coffee is EXACTLY what I’ve been looking for. Their coffee is amazing, decent prices, and their staff is awesome! I love the little writings on the coffee!! This is my new go-to spot.
