This is a review is for an appointment I had with Rosa a year ago that now I feel compelled to leave. I had a very unpleasant experience with her, starting with the consultation. It was vague and very rushed. There is a right way and wrong way of communicating with a client and what questions to ask. I came in with damaged, blonde hair that was caused by another stylist at another salon. I wanted to cut my hair as short as necessary, to get rid of the damage and start fresh. Mind you, I have had short hair before and was comfortable with having short hair. Rosa felt it was necessary to spend the entire short consultation to convince me to not get the short haircut because “it wouldn’t look good on [me]”. As a professional, you should be giving your client recommendations and then giving the client the final decision on what they want to do based on those recommendations. She did not do that at all. She didn’t even ask if I had short hair before. It was ridiculous. After the haircut, all I saw was a horrendous haircut that was unblended, extremely choppy and lacked movement. Again, this could have been avoided had Rosa done a decent consultation. Not only was it the haircut I didn’t want, but it was done badly and I STILL had damage left. I felt uncomfortable the entire time that all I wanted to do was leave, despite not liking my haircut. I attached a photo of what my hair looked like. She gave me no options. She even said, “if it doesn’t look good, it’s YOUR fault”. She put the responsibility on me. She didn’t even bother styling it or asking if I wanted my hair styled. I don’t...

Took my mom and daughter in for a cut and style, ended up getting my hair done too! I absolutely love all three of our styles!! Especially my mother’s! She is a retired hair stylist who now suffers from dementia… but she still knows a good hair cut when she sees one… and today SHE totally approved!
