See's Candies has been a tenant at the Los Cerritos Center for as long as I can remember. While another hoity toity chocolatier, named after a nude English woman on horseback, has come & gone, See's Candies remains. As "Highlander" said "There can be only one."

Now, I'm going to keep it real, I have many a time stopped by to avail myself of a free sample. So many times, in fact, I could probably open up a pop-up chocolate shop with all the free chocolate I've had. Nevertheless, I have bought a few things at See's from time to time. Just, the ratio between samples & bought goods is heavily eschewed in one direction ;p

Truffles. I go trifling for truffles. I muffle my inner health conscience for truffles. "But, what about our weight loss goals?" "We were doing so good!" "Do you need to have chocolate right now??" Yes, dadgummit, I do!! Milk & dark Bordeaux, milk buttercream, raspberry cream & Scotchmallow - it's all sinfully delicious.

See's Candies nut fudge are for those looking for something immensely more decadent. Vanilla walnut, Chocolate walnut & Bordeaux pecan - can't go wrong with any of these. All winners!

To broaden the appeal of products, sugar-free and kosher items are on hand, as well. I'm not a big fan of caramel, nougat and other things chewy & teeth rotting, so I stick with the chocolate. Buy a prepackaged box or create your own custom chocolate ensemble to make sure you get what you want. As Forrest Gump said "Life is like a box of chocolates, too much will give you diarrhea." Oh wait, he said "you never know what you're gonna get." ;p

Service has been great. The staff working here don't hesitate to oblige me with samples of their various products. Seasonal items roll out to let customers know the specific season has arrived. See's Candies is located on the opposite side of Red Robin.

Obviously the candy is good. My father-in-law loves it and I wanted to get him 100 dollars worth but the lady who helped me treated me like I didn't have the money... I wanted to go inside the store but she ask me did I know what I wanted and I said yes. I wanted the ornament package because it had the peanut brittle and other stuff he wanted. She said they didn't have it and I asked did they have something close to it and she said no but when I looked in the store from the outside I saw most of the stuff that comes in the package... I never went anywhere that had people that down sale. She said there was a 114 dollar package they had and I said I wanted that but she talked me into buy 23.00 box of chocolates. I should've ignored her and waiting to go inside the store now I have to go to another location and buy everything separate which is going to cost more money which I don't mind. Its the time that is costly to me. My time is very important because I'm always on call because I'm a network engineer and always on call. I pray this doesn't mess up my Christmas shopping. Never going back to this...

I wanted to give some feedback on the sub-par guest experience at this store. Leila F. seemed more concerned about moving the customers through instead of acutely listening to my order. I wanted a sample plus a 6-piece box of the celebration cake. Instead, she charges me for the sample which I graciously paid. I gave her some input to carefully listen but proceeded to cut me short in my response saying she couldn’t hear because of the masks we were both wearing. I think we have already been through 18 months of this pandemic and hopefully used to listening better. I have been a very loyal customer of See’s since the 70s and very fond of the Summer Variety pack. Just wanted to share my concerns with See’s Corporate that you might have a post-pandemic training opportunity at this store and many of your other locations to at least meet or exceed expectations.
