Feel my Tokyo flow at Uniqlo
Uniqlo, located at the Los Cerritos Center across from Teavana, sells LifeWear. LifeWear isn't disposable clothing but "perfect components made with quality".
Heather Chen, the manager, greeted all those in line, gearing up for a hectic day of mostly crazy Asians fighting over deals.
Waiting in the Grand Opening line for an hour, we were highly anticipating the Opening Day deals & to obtain the free canvas tote bag for the first 200 customers.
The best of the Opening Day deals were the 100% natural silk women's 3/4 sleeve blouses for $3.90 (reg. $49.90) & men's boxer briefs/trunk & women's hiphuggers for $1.90 (reg $4.95). Some of the articles that captured my attention were the pocketable parkas & cheap socks.
The staff, while swamped by the Opening Day shoppers, were friendly & helpful with finding any item you were particularly looking.
Every 30 minutes, the Uniqlo staff had a prize wheel for customers to spin. Top prize was a $10 Uniqlo giftcard. On my first spin, I won a Hi-Chew candy. Second, a Uniqlo booklet.
My first time experiencing Uniqlo & I am impressed. Affordable clothing made with quality, some including "AIRism", Uniqlo's patented quick-dry & ultra-fine fibers, which allows wearer's to be cool to the touch & dry. The merchandise was attractively displayed, the line went by efficiently & the prices are very reasonable. I foresee them being in the mall for a long time to...
ย ย ย Read moreUniqloโs customer service is extremely poor. There is no phone number for stores in the US, and the only available number connects to Vietnam, where calls are unclear and often disconnected. Even though the company is based in Japan and likely has operations in the US, the customer service here feels like something from a developing country.
I recently purchased several items from a Uniqlo store and discovered ink stains on multiple pieces, including a parka, after I got home. I donโt live in California, so returning to the store immediately is not an option. I saw the staff roughly removing the security tags, and it seems the ink from inside one of the tags leaked onto the clothes. I emailed photos of the damage, but I havenโt received any response. When I called, all I was told was that the store needs to โinvestigate.โ This level of service is completely...
ย ย ย Read moreOther Uniqlo stores I have been to are clean and tidy, this location seems unkempt- empty hangers everywhere, the items are scattered at different places and the floors are dirty. No customer service!! Staff not accommodating and seems like they did not want to be there. I was also next in line at the fitting room and I witnessed this lady asking for a size XS of a blouse she was fitting, I understand the guy could not leave his post but he could have asked his co-worker through his pager/walkie-talkie to get that item for the lady. Instead, she had to leave and start in the long line all over again. Sad, since we...
