Vegas-style? Not quite.

Occupying the former home of Hometown Buffet, Four Seasons is another Filipino favorite - an AYCE buffet. Purposely trying not to frequent buffets all that much anymore, having $2 off and hungry family members led our happy feet here for some food gorging, followed by weeping & gnashing of teeth.
Like most Asian buffets, Four Seasons has a Mongolian BBQ station, a sushi island & a hibachi grill station. Unlike most Asian buffets, instead of giving the hibachi cook what you want, he cooks everything depending upon demand and diners just choose what they want from the trays. While that does save time, I feel freshness is best when I decide what I want cooked. I mainly stuck with the Korean short ribs.
The hot trays had the usual suspects atypical of most buffets. Nothing extraordinary, save for their housemade uber-sized red bean sesame balls. These suckers were huge! Quite popular, I saw the empty tray repeatedly being replenished with fresh from the fryer sesame balls. Not frozen at all, these were semi-sweet, quite sticky & tremendously delicious. I tried to go easy on these, as polishing off a couple of these bad boys will fill you up right there.
Of the dessert options, it's never a bad choice availing yourself of ice cold, velvety smooth Thrifty ice cream. All the colors of the rainbow seemed to be represented, with myself going for my tried & true picks - rocky road, pistachio & green tea.
Service was good. Our plates were cleared and drinks refilled in a timely manner. Ample seating. While we were there, a large group of what I assumed was a funeral gathering took up most of the middle section.
Parking is at the Cerritos Promenade, which can be hard to come by during peak hours.
While not my favorite Asian buffet within the area, Four Seasons had some noteworthy qualities. Namely their awesome housemade red bean sesame balls, among others. While I wouldn't pay full price to eat here, when coupons come via the USPS, then I may, perchance, indulge in some wanton buffet carnage when the...
Read moreIts a mediocre mid-range buffet that offers an array of dishes, mainly chinese cuisine despite calling themselves a "Vegas Style Buffet". It seriously lacked many of the food items that you'll see at such a buffet aimed to be "Vegas Style" but that is irrelevant. Honestly, the food was just really greasy chinese take out (Literally Panda express) however I do appreciate the service here since there are some really understanding and helpful workers who guided my group upon paying the check.
Positively, I liked the shrimp selection, it was actually very good. I recommend the honey shrimp for surrre as well as the sauteed shrimp (Tho a bit salty). Also dope chocolate fountain and I appreciate the icecream selection + fruit selection too.
Negatively however, the place is sort of dirty. I mean the kitchen looks sort of unsanitary and the way they handled veggies was pretty nasty (large Basins of veggies on the floor... whatever) the establishment itself did have some Crumby outdated Seats and tables, as well as a lack of tongs. (Ex: The dried ouf taro tongs being used to grab Rangoons and Eggrolls???) But i will give props to the gloves and other safety measures given their circumstances.
Back to food... It was a hit or miss, the sushi was actually Pretty good. Tbh i dont know if the raw portions of the sushi were trustworthy but man those CALIFORNIA rolls, TEMPura rolls, and rolls that had imitation crab in it were well done. Carb and bread section was meh, the Scalion pancakes were both stale and Crunchy/Soft. And fhe Baos were tough?? Some sauteed items like veggies were also rlly salty and greasy which i understand but It wasnt really good for this place.
But I WILL SAY THIs... the price is really good for what you get!!! Its Like 26 for dinner and 15 for lunch and you basicallu get a bang for your buck. So if youre on a budget then go here, it dont expect to get good...
Read moreCome here for the Korean bbq but not for the sushi or crab legs. While the sushi isn't bad, it's nothing to boast about and the crab legs weren't the freshest (I'm assuming you have to get there earlier), though the tuna poke is excellent. Bathroom is definitely cleaner than the other buffets I've been to. Parking's good too, since it's right by the Target, though you may have to walk a little if it's really busy.
I took my parents here for father's day and wow, was it busy. It was really packed and waited over 30 mins to be seated so I would recommend visiting on non-holidays. I came here a few weeks before on a whim and was really impressed with the korean bbq. None of the other asian style buffets I've been to actually grilled their korean bbq with fire so it was excellent! I ate so much the first time that I had food coma before I even got to my car. The grilled shrimp was excellent as well, the fruit was fresh and some of the other meats (chicken mostly) was really tasty. Even the green tea flavored ice cream was good.
Reasons for the 3 stars on father's day (besides being busy): the soda machine crapped out on carbonation by dinner time so we were drinking luke warm flavored sugar water the grill cook barely put any meat on the grill so most people didn't even realize that the bbq was there and the few who knew, had to wait in line for tiny morsels; same goes for the shrimp instead of having a separate ice cream scooper for each bucket of ice cream, there was like only one scooper so people had to wait in line to wash off the ice cream to get the flavor they wanted
I really wanted to give them 4 stars because when I visited them the first time, I really enjoyed the food. Maybe they just weren't prepared for the holiday crowd but it wasn't anything like the first time I visited. I'll still come here for the...
