Hedges Designs — Local services in Chagrin Falls

I had some business in the village today, ended up with extra free time and decided to walk through a few shops. I’ve been in Hedges frequently over the years and in both locations. A very nice assortment of gift items, especially around the holidays. But I have to say the most consistent impression of this store is the extremely unwelcoming staff that seems to always be there. I usually chalk it up to the fact that I’m a guy in a predominantly female attended store. Regardless, there is no reason for this lack of hospitality. And by reading through several of the other reviews here, it seems this is a common experience. The first employee who didn’t just stare at me was the sales clerk who took my purchase. Step it up ladies. You have a nice shop, but start treating your customers with more respect and courtesy. I had a better experience at Chagrin Hardware, maybe you could learn...

I will never shop at this store again. The employees are extremely rude, unfriendly, and snobby--including management. They view their customers as moneybags, and not as human beings. My family, friends, and I were treated with great disrespect. Multiple employees gave me false information, and as a result I lost hundreds of dollars to this business. I highly recommend doing business at a different Pandora or jewelry outlet. Although this store's location may be convenient, I would rather drive the extra mile to do business at a place where I am treated with kindness and as a real human being with real emotions. I walked thru here after visiting the market with my children. Another set of children were walking around with salt and pepper grinders, which then caught my children's attention. I didn't notice as I was looking at other items in the store, when the store attendant came and took them. Which was fine as I already told my kids not to touch them. She started ringing up the s&p grinders as if I was supposed to buy them because my kids had them or she thought we were trying to shop lift yet. Yet, she said nothing to the other women and children who were playing with them prior. Sorry I wasn't in my Sunday best. Won't ever visit/shop...
