My kids were so excited to check out Off the Wagon and wanted to spend some of their gift money. I was also excited as my husband and I prefer to support and shop local. Unfortunately, the employees of the store made us feel quite unwelcome. While I reiterated my kids not touch anything, holding a plastic wrapped boxed item for purchase I felt was ok. The employees disagreed and told both of my sons to put the items back if they were not ready to purchase. One of the employees mentioned to her colleague “After they break 10 things, I’m done with being nice” (in regards to the customers/kids in the store). I am highly disappointed with the experience we had as a family today. Perhaps the owner, Michelle, should either speak with her employees about their attitudes towards patrons OR open a store not geared towards kids when touching items is both discouraged and...
Read moreToy selection is great, but when my husband and children and I were in there picking things out we had to put our purchases back because of the very rude manager who micromanages the children in the store. Right when we walked in, we weren’t greeted kindly. The kids were being well behaved and exploring the designated “toy sample” area (you know the area in the store with the set up displays for them to play with to encourage you to buy them) and regardless of me being with them there watching and supervising my own kids, she’s micromanaging and ordering my kids around how they’re playing with the train...
Read moreI'm not sure what happened to my previous review, but I want to post an update. I love the good folks at Off the Wagon. They are kind, ethical, and disability friendly, which I really appreciate. Walking into their store is like going to a KB Toys again, an experience I really miss. They have incredible novelty gifts like mustached Christmas tree plushes, Great British Bakeoff Mugs , and hilarious dish towels--we have one that looks like our cat-- among many, many other items. There are plenty of toys to entertain your kids while you browse the store in search of your next big find. I highly recommend checking out their funny dish towels, mugs and magnets – and also their incredible game and...
