We visited the Glass Asylum twice, with the first experience being acceptable. However, our second visit was a disaster. I was served a drink in a glass with mold at the bottom. We had a 12:30 appointment, but we were given the moldy drink and had to wait an hour and twenty minutes before our experience began. I tried speaking to the hostess/manager about the issues and they refused to make it right in any way. When you pay for a service, you expect it to meet your expectations, but we felt like an afterthought during our visit. The Glass Asylum, unfortunately failed to deliver a satisfactory or even mediocre experience for us.
Edit: Jodie from the Glass Asylum reached out afterwards just as the comment says and went above and beyond in her response to the situation. We very much appreciate how it was handled after being frustrated initially. She explained why the situation occurred and made sure to reach out multiple times. Thank you for making...
Read morePros: The customer service at The Glass Asylum was great. Everyone we spoke to was super nice and helpful. We thought they had a lot of options of things you can make during your session which was great. The location was very clean and modern, providing a nice environment for our afternoon glassblowing experience.
Cons: The employees do most of the work and glassblowing. You barely do anything. You’re the second assistant who holds some tools but they do the majority of the work. I’ve done glassblowing experiences at other local places where you got to actually blow the glass and do a lot more hands on activities. It was a bummer to realize that you were not really making your piece (that was super expensive). It was a very rushed process.
There’s also minimal parking around the location. Be prepared to search for a spot or valet with the...
Read moreThe experience we had at The Glass Asylum in Chagrin Falls was unforgettable. We had such a great time making a Medium Vase there with the staff for their Valentine's Day Special. With this special not only did we get the amazing experience going thru making our vase from scratch and all the cool things we had to do hands-on to make it! But, we also had an amazing dinner that came from the restaurant next door, they brought it over to The Glass Asylum where they had a couple of tables and chairs set to eat while watching others make their glass art. The staff here overall were very professional, made the glass-making fun, and knew what they were doing for sure! We can not wait to come back soon and make some more art! Highly recommend setting an appointment to come in as a couple date or a small...
