My daughterâs prom dress was taken in below the waist instead of the bust as was discussed during her initial fitting. Instead of taking responsibility, apologizing, and fixing the issue, my daughter was made to feel it was her fault. She was repeatedly asked if she was on her period. The owner repeatedly stated she just did what her notes said, emphasizing that the shop wasnât the issue. They checked the date of the initial fitting to see how long it had been (how much weight she could have gained). The owner stated in front of the both of us, âwell this was a big waste of time.â Later she stated, âI guess I will just have to take it back out.â Meanwhile the bust was just as big as it was during the initial fitting. When that was pointed out we were told thereâs nothing she could really do about that (the entire reason we were there to begin with). She offered to fix it âbut it will be weird.â As we were leaving the owner stated, âover 300 dresses this season and this has never happened.â The message was, no one has had a problem fitting into their dress except you. We left the dress there so it could at least be brought back to itâs original shape. I picked the final product up today. I didnât bring my daughter back for a fitting. I shared our experience with the owner and still no responsibility. âIâm sorry she feels that way. We always ask women if theyâre on their period.â We wonât be back and I would suggest thinking twice before brining in a young lady...

Called them oh sorry no we didnât get to them give me two days Iâll have them done.. go back in 3 days later oh sorry no the one zipper is a special order but I have it here now blah blah ... Jan 3rd finally picked them up ... never did call me I just had to go back in and check ... gave me my total ask of cash or card .. said debit card .. total 54.00 which was clearly seen in my receipt .... well this morning as Iâm looking at my account I see I was charged 56.16 ... look at my receipt again well they charge a 2.16 non cash payment fee ( the amount is not the issue ) I was never told this when I told her I would be using my debit card I saw no sign anywhere the multiple times I was there so between all the run around each time I made contact or went in each time being a different story and this I definitely wonât be giving them my business in the future . During my first visit I came away feeling very good that adjustments could be made to make it fit and even recommended them to my daughter in law. Six weeks later they called to tell me my dress was ready. The seamstress who inspired my confidence and fitted it to me was not the seamstress who worked on it. The first seamstress was in Europe. The second admitted that she wasn't completely sure what was intended, but assured me she had done hundreds of dresses and could make it work. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. Fortunately I had allowed time to go buy another dress. My daughter in law did bring her dress in also. I was feeling rather embarrassed about recommending them.
