And absolute hidden gem in Chambersburg!
Walking in the door, my wife and I were greeted with very friendly staff who were willing to accommodate us with our little fur baby. We ended up sitting outside on the patio and it was quite enjoyable. The menu itself is fantastic and offers a little something for everyone. The prices are very reasonable and the food is absolutely fantastic! My wife and I ordered queso, a cheesy burrito, and the tilapia tacos. All three were excellent and all three were something we would order over again. In addition, the salsa that comes with the chips is also to die for! Don't hesitate to stop by and have an amazing lunch or dinner because you will not be disappointed.
Unfortunately we are not locals in the area because if we were, I would find myself coming back again and again. We live in Pittsburgh and we were stopping by on our way home from Gettysburg, but I must say I will definitely be back once we are in the area again.
Thank you for the excellent food...
Read moreWhen we visited today they were still serving brunch. I ordered the horchata and a brunch chorizo burrito, which listed it as having fries. I asked if the ingredients listed were served on the side or inside and I was told fries would be on the side. When I got my order everything was inside. It’s not what I expected. This left a bad taste in my mouth and I opted to finish the chips and salsa and guacamole side instead. My bf ordered the carne asada tostadas and he said it was okay but the rice, beans, and meat were bland. I ended up tasting the beans and I liked them, they were bland but they reminded me of traditional “hoya” beans. Overall, the food here is not quite what we expected from a Mexican restaurant, with all the reviews we saw, we expected better. It didn’t help that we had that misunderstanding about the fries. The waitress was super sweet and helpful, it was her first day working there and our first time visiting. The horchata was tasty and the bottle it came in...
Read moreWe rarely give 5 stars to a place, but this one deserves it. Family Mexican restaurant MUCH differs from the regular more commercial Mexican ones. The salsa is to die for (we took some home) and we were lucky enough to land there on the night the daily special was tilapia taco, wow! Should be part of the regular menu, highly recommended. Veronica and the other owner whose name we forgot are generous, super friendly, and it shows that they want you to be well-fed and happy. And so were we. We went from exclamation to exclamation! We always like Mexican, but we realize that, before that visit, we had no clue Mexican food could be so refined in quality and subtle taste.
We found that place based on reviews while stopping by on a drive to the south (snowbirds) and we liked it so much we'll try to sync our next trip so that we can stop...
