It’s strange that I get on here to complain about the horrible customer service and see that it’s a pattern. I was waiting to buy some shoes recently and was never served by two staff members working on one order at the register who never even looked up to say “be with you in just a second.” I walked over and stood by the shoes, the older gentleman working there acknowledged me within 10 seconds. even though he was helping someone else. I told him what I was looking at, he checked his handheld device and asked another younger employee to go get the shoes. I paid for them and left. The older African American guy is the only reason JD Sports gets 2 stars instead of -2. I am a status member because buy shoes all the time. The previous time I was there the staff was gossiping behind the counter and so into the story that none of the three acknowledged any customers. The time before that, when a staff member asked for my phone number, the young lady looked at me strange. She went on to tell me and her coworker that my number (which was relatively new to me) is the same as her ex-boyfriend’s number. Wasn’t a big deal, just kind of odd. But service here has gone downhill from there. Management needs to explain to the younger staff that there are other options in the mall to buy shoes. If customers opt to do that due to their poor customer service, the store will close and they will...
Read moreI've always had great expeiences here until this visit. I have bought a new pair of basketball shoes each year for several years from this location. Some years I have bought more than one pair (I have 2 active boys)
This time I saw a young associate standing by the door that goes to the backroom where the shoes are kept (he was only fidgeting with something in his hand.) I asked him if he had any other colors than what are on display. He said they only have the displayed in stock (not a problem they've ordered the other colors for me before.)
So I asked if he could bring a size 12 for my son to try on. He goes to the back and returns a while later (by this time we are looking at some clothing that was nearby.) He yells over to us, "we don't have these in a size 12." Then he puts the shoe back on the display and walks over to talk to other customers, that he seemed to know personally, and to ignore us. I'm not sure why he didn't want to help us anymore. But we decided to go home and spend the $125 online since they will arrive in time for the...
Read moreI went in to return a pair of shoes I wore around the store and at my apartment that I didn't like, now being the bottom of the shoes being white anything and everything shows up on the bottom. They told me I couldn't return them "because customers don't want to buy worn shoes and it's obvious I've worn them" that was what the "manager" told me. Well obviously you have to wear shoes to see if you like them. He then proceeded to tell me he could exchange them for me, I told them I didn't have the time to look for new ones and that an exchange would still be them taking the shoes back into their possession (I work in retail I get how this thing works). That's when this young manager decided he should bag the shoes up say "screw it im not doing anything for you have a good day" then throw my shoes across the counter at me. I get it's holiday season but now I have a pair of brand new shoes that were worn for maybe 20 minutes total that I don't like and can't do anything with and a terrible taste in my mouth for this store. I don't plan on going...
