I was super excited about going here. Someone in a Facebook group recommended it, and then I checked out their FB page and Instagram. Impressed by the photos and reviews I eagerly booked my appointment. I managed to get in the same day with Cynthia on 2/08. I went in with pics for the cut and color and she looked at them and made a plan. We agreed on the colors she would use and I was hesitant as she applied them because she put random foils all over for the highlights and only touched up my roots with the main color. She told me with the colors I chose the random highlights would give it more depth. I reminded myself she's the expert and let her do her thing. After the highlights were in she applied the over color. I had warned her how tangled my hair gets, but she didn't brush it out before applying the color. The first try didn't take on the ends because surprise* my hair was tangled. She did another rinse with the color and it came out better but said that if it was lighter than I wanted I could come back in within 2 weeks and she would adjust it. I left the salon semi satisfied with the product. Then I washed my hair the next evening and the purple she had put over my highlights faded out half way. Not all the way, half way. I went to work and was asked if I did my hair myself, what happened, and all kinds of questions you shouldn't get after spending over $100 on a salon visit. Day two, all the color is gone except at the roots, they can't fix it for a week, and my hair looks horrible. It's super embarrassing. I attempted to contact management for 5 days about my experience before I had to go in and physically stand in the salon today to get someone to talk to me about my experience. I was there for an hour and a half waiting for a partial refund. I was told by Cynthia, the manager and one who ruined my hair, that she admitted fault for how my hair turned out. She called the owner, Yani, to discuss my partial refund. Yani declined the refund, and Cynthia informed me that if I took this further she would deny everything she said. Gotta love a place who self proclaims they are dedicated to making women feel beautiful and desired, who tells you that what they did to your hair is fine. They offered to redo the color, but why would anyone trust a place who not only destroyed their hair in the first place, but refused to acknowledge a situation until forced to. Then after posting reviews on facebook and yelp, I recieved Facebook messages from Yani the owner. She sent me screenshots of my Facebook page, profile picture, and comments, and a message stating I was not to give her another bad review or she would charge me with slander. She stated the comments on my profile picture, which was taken the same day i had my hair done, were proof that i was trying to "scam her business" even though i asked for only $75 of the $145 I spent. Slander is attempting to ruin ones reputation by spreading lies or false rumors about another person or business. I have not made one false statement and my hair is proof that they made a mistake. The employees of the salon, including Cynthia admitted that my hair was not done properly. As I stated in all my reviews, my hair looked fine day one, day two is when the color came out. I had even sent her that same picture, along with the ones of my hair showing what it looked like the second day via FB message and email with no response from her. No, I didn't change my profile picture to show what my hair looks like now, why would I? I don't know anyone who would post photos like that. I did now since she feels my friends comments hold so much weight, and let me tell you, the photo of what my hair looks like now has very different comments on it. In my opinion they are rude, condescending, and inept at Flirt salon when it comes to customer service. Do not, I repeat do not, go here if your hair...
Read moreMoved to AZ from IL over a year ago. Since I have been in AZ, I have only gotten my hair done once by a difference salon which was about a year ago. I wanted to grow my hair out and let the highlights fade before getting my hair done again. I found this FLIRT company on Google a few weeks back. Decided to book online with the owner Yani since she must be the best and I wanted a good experience. The site stated there would be a free cut with a color for new customers. Two days before my appointment I received a voicemail confirming my appointment. The day before I got an email confirming my appointment, along with 3 other emails confirming and then canceling appointments for 3/16 (must have been an error on their end since I only had one appointment). I called the day before to get an estimate of the price so I could bring cash. The website stated there was a discount for cash payments. The woman who answered couldn't find my appointment anywhere. She had me out two weeks later on 3/16 with a woman named Melissa. I advised I could send her the email her company sent me if she wanted showing the correct date. She was rude about that as if there was no way she could be wrong. She finally booked me with the right person on the right date. I then asked about the pricing. She said my name and number shows I've been there before so I wasn't going to get the free cut. I told her she had her info wrong because I had never been there. Based on the emails I got, they must have mixed me up with whoever tried to book for 3/16. She then asked if the address they had for me was mine? It wasn't. This should have been a red flag to her that she had her info wrong. But she was determined to make me out as a liar. She then tried to tell me "well Melissa is a soccer mom and remembers all her customers and she worked on your hair in January". Ummmm no she didn't because my hair clearly hasn't been touched in a year". Melissa gets on the phone. "Jenny do you not remember seeing me January 27th?" "Ummm no Melissa I don't because I've never been there.... and how do you know you worked on my hair. You don't even know what I look like at this point..." I tried again to explain their system was wrong and if they just let me come in, they would see I hadn't been there 5 weeks ago. Then the owner gets on the phone (The woman who was supposed to do my hair), tries to convince me that I am scamming them and that I was there. WOW... At this point I am so uncomfortable to even do business with them, I tell Yani, the owner this and I just hang up. What a waste of time.... They could have given me the benefit of the doubt and seen for themselves when I walked in, but instead lost a customer. I will make sure everyone who asks me about a salon to use, to steer clear of this unprofessional company. I hope they realized after the call that they got their info mixed up and I hope whoever had the appointment on 3/16 with Melissa corrected them as well. Hopefully they didn't cancel her appointment too or accuse her of...
Read moreI made the huge mistake of visiting this salon a few days ago and saw Cynthia. I went into the salon with healthy, medium brown hair, a couple inches past my shoulder. I left with brassy, orange and yellow hair, a choppy cut to shoulder length, and an over-bleached undercut (SEE PHOTOS) I spent $325 and 7 hours (11am to 6pm) at the salon which is the longest I have ever spent in a salon in my life. I had asked for a simple balayage and a trim to even up my hair length and showed her photos of examples of what I wanted. She convinced me that a balayage wouldn't work on my hair and would turn it brassy and said I should do a full highlight with an additional lightening process instead. Sadly, I trusted her judgement thinking she was a credible, experienced stylist. I had spent the better part of two years growing out an undercut so it was all new, virgin hair. I informed Cynthia of this right off the bat and a few more times throughout the day. After I got home and started examining my hair more closely I realized what she'd done. The entire section of virgin hair had been bleached to an awful, yellow/platinum blonde color which faded to orange at the ends. I was shocked because Cynthia hadn't bothered to mention this huge error she'd made while I was there and instead let me go home this way. I also saw she had cut a significant amount of this part of my hair off (obviously an attempt to hide the horrible color she's turned my hair) So not only was the hair bleached but also shorter than I was when I arrived and this was really the only section of hair that I DIDN'T want cut at all. The rest of my hair was brassy and orange and the lightest parts were yellow at best. I went back to the salon at 8 am the next morning, which is when it says they are open, but no one was there and no one answered the phone. I waited for about 40 minutes before I left. Finally around 9:15, someone answered the phone, I explained the situation, and booked a time to see Cynthia at 2:30 that day. When I went in, she admitted that she had known she's over-bleached the hair but said it "looked lighter today" I did not receive an explanation or an apology, let alone, a refund. She said she would tone down the bleached area and tone up the rest to try and help with the brassy color. She informed me that it would be a "complimentary" service but that I would only be there for about an hour this time. The toning down helped to hide the over-bleached portion but I left the salon with wet, still brassy orange hair. For the money and time spent at this salon, this was a terrible result and I was extremely disappointed with the service. I will never set foot in this place again and I will be returning to my old stylist on the other side of town so she can fix this mess. Check out their reviews on Yelp, you will see Cynthia has all 1 star reviews. And heed the warnings posted here where people had very similar, if not identical, experiences to mine.
