Pizza Twist — Restaurant in Chandler

We stumbled upon this gem, and this review is strictly for the vegan pizza.

We dined in one week, and the vegan pizza was so good that our kids actually requested to go back just to have it again. Their vegan pizza is very, very delicious. Pizza Twist specializes in putting a unique twist on pizzas, and while we didn’t branch out into their more creative flavors yet, we did try several classics.

The thin crust vegan pepperoni and cheese pizza was excellent, and the Chicago-style deep dish vegan cheese pizza was hearty and satisfying. We also had their Veggie Nation pizza, topped with fresh vegetables, and it was another hit. Between three adults and two kids, we cleared everything no leftovers! That’s how good it was. Then when we had the take out we had the vegan pizza the next day and it was delicious.

They also offer specials, and the prices are pretty reasonable for vegan options. They even have a cauliflower crust, though we haven’t tried it yet. One tip: if you’re someone who likes extra sauce, I’d suggest asking for marinara on the side or requesting more sauce on the pizza, just to get that perfect saucy-cheesy balance.

We did try the vegan wings, but they weren’t our favorite — the texture was unique and they were very spicy, so not really for us. But again, this review is for the pizza, and the pizza is where Pizza Twist really shines.

The staff has always been kind and courteous, and there’s even a little pool table inside, which adds to the fun atmosphere.

It took me a few days to determine whether or not I was going to write a review or not. I live right around the corner from here, have seen it driving by a few times recently and decided to give it a shot after reading all these amazing reviews. Some people even saying it was the best pizza they had ever had.

I personally think it might be the worst pizza I've ever had. Seriously. The dough/crust had absolutely no flavor, none, and to make it even worse, the dough wasn't cooked all the way through so it was luke warm and chewy on the inside. Then we get to the toppings, i ordered their special of 2 large pizzas with 3 toppings for $25. The amount of toppings, or lack there of was almost comical. They cut their pizza in 8 slices, on those 8 slices there were 11 total pieces of sausage, 11 for a whole pizza! On that same pizza, onion was another topping, it legitimately looked like there was half of an onion diced on top of that pizza and was unfortunately the only thing we could taste. I first thought that they were skimping on toppings to save money, but that didn't make sense because each pizza had to have a pound of cheese on them and that's the most expensive topping...

The only reason I did not leave a 1 star review is because the people working in there were very friendly. It feels like a family run business and that is why I struggled with writing this review.

I got a response from owner saying I was wrong in saying about toppings feedback. Anyone can see paneer size were like chopped small garlic pieces and no garlic or onion topping was there. I had to get pizza quickly to my home for kids as they were hungry. While eating we found these problems and dont want to bother myself while eating as it was edible though. If the size of paneer cubes remains same as I see then it sheer cheating w.r.t. price we pay. Please do not try to justitfy with other customer reviews, it depends what they like or dislike. Mine preference is Paneer to the most and if its not sufficient then its not good. You can fight, call me bad or get offended but it was not yhe case earlier a year back but now its a trend you made it downsized The toppings ordered were Paneer, Garlic and Onion, Paneer was ordered in both pizza but panner piece were smaller than Chopped garlic pieces that hardly we can feel it, Garlic and onions were invisible from topping. This is ridiculous when we order from Indian Pizza joint to get what we dont get anywhere and found they are also cheating with it. Order checkout page crashed twice before I can succesfully pay and place order. But not giving sufficuent size and qty of spicy Paneer is annoying.
