We have been shopping at the Chandler London Gold store for 15 + years. Throughout this time, my husband and I have been through many milestones, holidays, celebrations and even tribulations (when wedding ring went down the garbage disposal in 2008) and we’ve always had an excellent experience with their sales associates while being able to stay within our budget.
Last Christmas 2018, was no different when I went in to London Gold to purchase a ring and watch for my husband. Dustin the sales associate there that day made this experience rewarding, fun and even educational while patiently helping me decide on my gifts. Then in January 2019, my husband and I went in to have his new ring sized and my 14 year old watch to be repaired. Dustin was there again and helped take care of us. While we were there, we browsed (just for fun of it) and looked at higher end rings made by London Gold locally and eventually found the most exquisite ring that we quickly fell in love with! We joked about the extravagances of trading up or down “a pool remodel” (which we’re currently doing), “a Harley”, “a Corvette” all while comparing the relative cost and affordability of this masterpiece ring. By nature we are conservative spenders, so we went on our way.
We returned to the store a few weeks later to pick up the 14 year old watch that needed to be sent out and quickly went over to the counter to see if that magnificent ring was still there. It was, and it was on sale even more than the previous visit! Bill and Jamie helped us this time and we laughed again about comparing the relative cost of the ring to other worldly goods. We left the store again as we were only there to pick up the watch then go to dinner. While at dinner we joked about buying the ring and confessed how much we’ve (mostly wifey) have been thinking about this incredible ring. To us, the ring is a lot money and that money could be used towards other things especially since we are remodeling. After dinner, I told my husband that we needed to just go home and sleep on it and no sooner did I say that, he made a right turn instead of a left turn and headed back to London Gold! Now this was getting real... As soon as we walked in, all three of the sales associates (Bill, Jamie and Dustin) stood up as if they had a bet wagering on whether or not we’d be returning. We talked about wanting Dustin to be a part of this too since he initially spend over an hour with us and helped us find this amazing ring. After a little negotiating, we came to a great price for the ring of a lifetime—for us. It needed to be sized and we returned the next day to pick up our new heirloom.
Now for the big day! London Gold was busy and the sales associates that helped us with the ring were with other customers. Ironically, Lane (the sales associate who helped us back in 2008 when my wedding ring went down the garbage disposal on Christmas Day) was there to help us and present us with this new timeless piece. (So now, it feels like we’ve come full circle—no pun intended.) Lane remembered us and we laughed about that time that we called our “Christmas Miracle” because we were able to save the center stone in a new setting in 2008. This time there was was no new “reason” to buy a ring but having Lane hand me this incredible ring somehow made it even more special... At a time when we can buy just about anything online, it is so much more gratifying and meaningful to experience a purchase like this (or any other as far as I’m concerned) in a brick and mortar store where real memories can be made and not just clicking a box and hitting enter. We so appreciate the expertise and help from all of the associates at London Gold—even the ones behind the scenes. I told Dustin I wanted to hug the person who designed and created this ring. It truly is a work of art that we will cherish everyday as with the memories we’ve made along the way. Thank you to everyone at London Gold! We are happy and fortunate to be able to support your locally owned and operated business. — L...
Read moreOMG!! Where do I even start! First and foremost, the customer service I received from Lady Donna Hogg was absolutely TREMENDOUS! Donna absolutely went beyond and above anything I have ever experienced. She had REALLY gone out of her way to do so many small litttle things for me that REALLY meant a lot. She was truly amazing and so wonderful to work with. Just a beautiful and wonderful soul. London Gold is truly lucky to have this lady!!! Now, let me move on to the actual jeweler (who is no less than a magician!) I had purchased a beautiful bracelet for my fella about 9 years ago from London Gold. It's monetary value isn't off the charts by any means, but its sentimental value is irreplaceable. I was told at first the bracelet could not be repaired because the company no longer made that model nor the brand and they could not get the pin we needed to fix it. And it was an odd pin and they didn't make it anymore and there was nothing we could do. I was heartbroken, to say the least. But I am a very headstrong and tenacious girl. This Tramp was not going to stop at nothing or a no way- I just knew there had to be a way. And Lady Donna agreed!! I could just see it in her eyes! AND THERE WAS! Introducing the MIGHTY MIGHTY MAGICAL AMAZING jeweler STEVE!!! I believe Steve comes from the Harry Potter clan because he is truly pure magic. He truly must have had his cape, hat and wand hanging on the back of his door in his mystical jewelry workroom. He CREATED the very odd shaped pin with his own hands! PURE MAGIC!! My fella was in awe as well. I am SOOO grateful to these wonderful and amazing souls for going so far out of their way and offering such incredible customer service to make my heart so happy and to have my fella able to wear the piece that holds such a special place in both of our hearts. It's so sentimental to us. It was the first gift I ever gave me special fella, and after being together so many years, it means a lot to us. Oh, and as for the repair on my beautiful necklace, it's a beautiful platinum chain set with two saphires which my father had custom made for me when my little brother passed away in 2011. It's in the shape of an eternal ellipse, the saphires repesenting both of us as we were both born in September. You can only imagine what the piece means to me. The fix was simple. I just needed the clasp repaired. What I didn't expect was the AMAZING "cleaning" job Steve "POTTER" did on my necklace. I don't remember what the technique was called. But I can tell you this... It's worth EVERY PENNY. I had just asked for it to be cleaned. I have had this necklace professionally cleaned MANY times. It has NEVER come out looking this beautiful!!! It shined and sparkled just like the day I opened the box on Christmas in 2011. All I can say to Lady Donna and Steve MAGICAL, MYSTICAL, STEVE, is THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!! A thousand THANK YOU'S will not EVER be enough. We have always done business with London Gold. And our much wealthier friends always do business with them on a much regular basis (not because they are overpriced by ANY means, they just get to buy more goodies more often haha!!) But we will forever and ever ONLY be taking our current jewelry to them for repairs and amazing cleanings, and my fella and I have agreed we will only ever purchase new pieces from London Gold. London Gold, you are so LUCKY to have such AWESOME people to represent you in the front and back of the house. They are just wonderful. Although, if I may suggest something, Please let Steve "POTTER" wear his magical hat and cape, and keep his wand on display. It should, of course, be diamond encrusted!! Again thank you, you wonderful, shining lovelies!...
Read moreI went to London Gold to buy my replacement engagement ring since I lost my first one. After only 2 months of having the ring the diamond became loose and I took it back on a Friday to get it tightened. The lady took my ring to the person to tighten it and within 15 minutes she brought me my ring back and I left without inspecting bc I didn't think I need to check their work. On Saturday morning I was looking at my ring and noticed easily visible rough divots in multiple of the prongs holding my diamond. I took it back to London gold that day and the man started making it seem like it's my fault asking if I was in a rush? Even if someone was does that constitute your company to do a poor job. I left my ring to get repaired for the damaged they caused and left feeling very uneasy about the work that will be done. I returned to pick up my ring and he doesn't greet me only brings the ring to me, doesn't say sorry for what happened or make sure I'm happy with my ring and that it was properly fixed. I take the time to actually look at it this time due to their lack of credibility and I still saw a small scratch in one of the white gold prongs but the other larger divots where gone. I tell him I see a scratch and he starts to gaslight me and say that three other people looked at it and said it looked good. Instead of listening to the customers concern and trying to fix an issue he was instead gaslighting me. He takes a look after saying this and takes it back to the jeweler to look at. After several minutes he comes back and gives me the ring. Doesn't explain what the jeweler did or saw. I looked over the ring again while he still said nothing, no apologies no trying to make sure I'm happy with the result nothing, he just started looking through some drawers instead of making sure the damaged that they caused was properly taken care of. I felt so uncomfortable with the customer service that I will not be buying my two wedding bands, my fiancé wedding band from here. When I first bought my ring I recommend them to my sisters boyfriend bc he wants to propose soon but now I will not let him buy her ring from here after this experience. Trying to blame the customer for their poor service, gaslight, not apologizing, not trying to ensure the customer is happy with the repairs, not trying to repair the broken trust in...
