Monsoon PCs — Local services in Chandler

This may be a bit lengthy so a TL;DR: Customer service is absolutely incredible, and my machine is better than I imagined it would be. I'm a video editor, gamer, and part time streamer, so I needed a machine that could edit 4k seamlessly, and stream while running multiple applications at once with low dB levels. This machine is a beast.

Onto the full review: I reached out to Monsoon PC's when I was looking to upgrade my Standard Sized case down to a small form factor PC, while also upgrading my components. I originally contacted Waylon, who put me in contact with David, who spent about an hour walking me through my ideal configuration. I had a rough idea that I'd like a Fractal Terra case, but after explaining the reason for upgrading my machine, David walked me through why the A4 H20 case would better fit my needs - I'm very glad we decided on this.

Here's where the customer service really kicked in. When I received my first machine, there were a handful of faults - it occasionally wouldn't boot, and long story short it ended up not turning back on at all after troubleshooting for a while. I have pretty high anxiety when making purchases of this size, especially when its the first time working with a company, so this was my worst nightmare - I'm also on the East Coast so this isn't a shop I can just pop into, which adds to the stress. I contacted David, and we jumped on a video call to troubleshoot for about 3 hours. This is 3 hours out of his own time. He then decided to make me a completely new one and ship it to me before I even had the chance to pack this one up and send it back. He provided all of the return labels, kept in contact with me throughout the entire shipment process, and even paid for overnight shipping to make sure I got everything I needed. I genuinely cannot express enough how great the customer service was.

I've been using this computer for the past couple weeks without issue, this machine is 100% worth the value, and if you were to give Small Form Factors, or even full sized custom pc builds a try, I can guarantee you that you'll get the best possible experience working...

No thermal issues, no performance hiccups—just smooth, reliable power.

Thanks to this build, I was finally able to complete and polish my game development portfolio, a milestone I’ve been working toward for a long time. The speed and stability of this system made the creative process so much more efficient and enjoyable. I genuinely don’t think I would’ve hit that milestone as quickly—or with as much confidence—without this machine.

I had previously taken my computer to Best Buy's Geek Squad for its crashing issues, and they completely misdiagnosed the PC and didn't fix anything. By the time I came to Monsoon PCs, I had self-diagnosed my computer as needing a new power supply, as it was crashing during heavy loads and I was getting Kernel 41 errors in Windows Event Viewer. However, I was wrong.

David quickly determined that my crashes were from my beefy AMD Ryzen 9 5900X CPU overheating due to my AIO radiator being severely clogged with dust, and whose fans were wired to be always on at 100%, which apparently was bringing in tons of unnecessary air - and dust - into the system. He rewired the fans somehow to get them to slow down when not needing to be on full-speed, cleaned out the radiator (and entire system), and even plugged in my RGB header for my CPU cooler that Cyberpower PC never hooked up when they built it originally!

He also added two new case fans and upgraded my 1TB M.2 SSD boot drive to a 4TB one, moving all of my files over for me in the process. And to make sure it all worked well, he ran a bunch of gaming stress tests to prove the main issue was fixed, which was appreciated. There were some other small things he did I can't remember. Just so thorough.

I never realized how loud my system was before, being always at 100% fan speeds, but now its much quieter, is running a lot cooler, and best of all, it finally isn't crashing every 10 minutes!
