Update 5/7: they actually called, but that call was just the start of what is the most unbelievable policy you will [n]ever hear. There are a few doctor's offices around that don't allow you to see a different doctor in the same office if the first one can't figure out the problem (such as with Sonoran GI), but as with their [non]phone system, they've outdone any policy you'll ever hear at any other practice - ever.
I've been to 82 different doctors in the last 7 years (had a few accidents/injuries) and this is a first. They don't just not allow you to see a different doctor in the practice, they won't even allow you in the practice at all if you've seen a GI at a different practice in the past 3 years... seriously, ask them, they'll tell you flat out as if it's a legitimate policy. The OM here is the type of person who orders people to do things they're already doing... it's a power trip thing that weak people do - everyone knows someone like that. And to make it even more mind blowing, I'm a former patient of Dr. Lim - I wasn't exactly impressed but I also didn't have any real issues with him. He did have an excellent PA, however (unfortunately, I don't remember his name). But that was about 5 years ago before the OM decided that AI is a better option than humans to deal with other humans. So I left and went to Khosla at Sonoran. Did they care that I'd seen a different GI in the past 3 years? Of course not, that exists nowhere but ADH[D].
And lastly, out of curiosity I went to the link provided in the reply, "404 this page does not exist", smh... why am I not surprised?
Tiffany is pleasant, and handles informing patients of the OM's absurd policies well... she has an exceptionally difficult job.
Op 5/5: While the doctors themselves may be good, the office manager should be in prison. I rail against the reprehensibleness of automated phone systems, the laziness it instills on receptionists, and the blatant disregard it shows for patients' health, but this place's office manager has taken patient disrespect to a whole-nother-level. There's no way at all to contact these people but through some absurd, unsecure messaging system. You message them and they'll call you after 2 days (no joke, they actually state that on the site). Miss the call? You have to send another message and wait another 2 days. Most of this info is posted right on their website... it really is that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe doctor I saw at this practice isnāt listed on their website which is interesting because he was the first part of my terrible experience trying to receive care from Easy Valley Gastroenterology. I would call to get a name to add to this review but I really do not want to have another awful interaction with this practice. The doctor I saw immediately ignored and brushed off the suspected diagnosis that my primary care physician and I were working with because he ādoesnāt usually see thatā despite the evidence pointing that way (spoiler: my new doctor believes me and we are working together to reduce symptoms and get a solid diagnosis nailed down). This doctor wanted to perform both a colonoscopy and endoscopy when I only needed the endoscopy. The additional tests would be hundreds of dollars I didnāt need to spend. Furthermore, this doctor referred to performing a colonoscopy on me, a young woman, as having me āsunny side up.ā This is beyond unprofessional and I was shocked to be addressed this way by someone who was supposed to be helping me feel better. He also only referred to me as ādearā which felt patronizing and improper in the setting, especially when he did nothing at the start of the appointment to try and develop a rapport with me. I left this visit crying.
Despite all of this, I decided to give the practice as a whole a second try and called to schedule an appointment with a different doctor so as to get a second opinion. I was told by the woman on the phone that this was not allowed at this practice and she would need to ask a manager and get back to me. I told her I would need to see another doctor or be forced to leave the practice and seek care elsewhere. She promptly hung up on me. I never heard back.
I am now receiving proper, empathetic care at AZ Digestive Health and will never recommend anyone seek healthcare from East...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePlease go anywhere else. Dr. Singh had me come back in for 3-4 follow up appointments and wouldn't tell me why, even during the appointment. I thought they were scamming for insurance money so I stopped coming back in for pointless appointments. The nurses, other medical staff and office personnel could not tell me and could not understand why any of the follow up appointments were necessary either. 6 years later my new primary doctor gave me a referral to the same place and I forgot that I had been there before because I have numerous health conditions and see a lot of doctors. The office staff specifically scheduled me with a different doctor who was supposed to be able to treat my rare conditions. On the day of my appointment, I recognized the building and asked the front desk if I had been there before and I had (under my maiden name). The office manager was extremely rude to me and said that their office would not see me at all anymore because I had to see the same previous doctor who could not treat me due to my new medical conditions and it was their office policy that you can't switch doctors for any reason, even though they told me to see the other doctor because he was the only qualified one for my conditions. This was during my appointment time after waiting for weeks to see the doctor. When leaving the office manager's office and walking down the hallway, she felt the need to continuously tell me to leave (even though that's what I was doing and told her I was leaving). Horrible horrible experience! The office manager does not care for patients and has no regard for illness, pain, suffering and frankly, should not work in the healthcare industry. Terrible doctor experience in the past with wasting a few hundred dollars of copays for insurance money scams and now this......
