The Thing Shop — Local services in Chandler

I ordered two very small rubber parts online - both pieces weigh less than 1 ounce. When you order online they do not tell you the shipping charges in advance (like most places do) which is a bit of a red flag. I know the parts I ordered are small so I didn't consider it to be a risk at the time.

A few days later my order arrived and was stuffed with fabric samples and other advertising - increasing the size and weight by 2-3 times what it should have been. I paid significantly more than what I should have to receive things I didn't ask for so I could throw them away. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture...

I cannot say enough good things about The Thing Shop. A totally professional that treats their customers right. From the front office to the warehouse guys to the owner himself everyone I have dealt has been top notch. After buying dozens of parts from them and having them shipped to San Diego I decided to visit them in person. Sherri offered a tour of their operation which was a real treat. I had a very minor issue with a part from the VW Thing Shop in Chandler Arizona. The manager himself drove 20+ miles on his own time and brought me the correct part. I am disabled and can’t drive very far. He was kind enough to come out swap out the part and gave me a VW service sign for my garage. Good customer service is very hard to find.
