The Friday Conference Center — Local services in Chapel Hill

Attended a luncheon hosted by the Durham Chapter of Charms for their annual Mad Hatters fundraiser here in Chapel Hill, NC at the William and Ida Friday Center. The participants induct new Charm members and honor local leaders for their excellence as pioneering entrepreneurs, local and state government officials, volunteers, and education trailblazers. The menu consisted of Chipotle BBQ chicken with an onion relish sauce, marinated flank steak, sauteed spinach, steamed asparagus, mashed potatoes, caesar and garden salads, wheat dinner rolls, water, iced tea, and various desserts which included cannoli, German chocolate cake, chocolate torte, and lemon and caramel parfaits. It’s camping without the extras! Well we have the generator so we’re not roughing it too much. A wooded parking lot take your choice of area for your car/camper/truck, bus etc.., a/an FCFServed venture. Self supported and pioneering for camping, tailgating. Only 1 1/2m to the stadium with bus rides to the stadium every hour (gotta check that but it’s all day) so it might be by the 1/2 hr.
