Towne N' Country Foodland — Local services in Chapmanville

Its a decent store, with over priced items, but thats to be expected of a small town store. My main issue with the store is its employees failure to wear their masks correctly during the covid-19 pandemic, they leave their nose sticking out, which defeats the purpose of the mask. Every time i go there, i see maybe one employee out of the whole staff wearing their mask correctly, which is concerning considering that the store is quite small. I would not recommend for those who care about their safety, to shop at this store because of this. I mean if they cant even wear their mask correctly, what else are they failing to do? Are they skipping on sanitizing the store, if even that? Even if they’re sanitizing the store, it will not be be effective if they are not wearing their masks correctly.

Love this store!! Without this store Chapmanville wouldn't be home!! Went with my grandparents, my parents, and now as a parent with my children. I only hope it's around for many more years and one day I can take my grandchildren there with myself. I also worked there while I was in High School and a lot of my friends did as well...many great memories of those days. My most memorable and favorite memory was the little candy cart that used to sit up in produce. Lots of different candies that u could mix n match and put into a bag and even weigh. If you are younger than about 38 to 40 yrs old you probably don't remember it but it was my grandparents thing to do for us kids. It's a wonderful place. Always strivng to be best at puttin grub on the tables of families,,, from the heads of our "hollers" to the end of all the "alleys" n "streets ",,, my opinion best meat Dept (quality and price) in our county,!! The deli bangs out all the fixins n sweet this n that's you can think of, and multible Dailey hot home-cooked dinners to go.
