JoLee's Consignment Store — Local services in Charles Town

I have a hard time believing that this business only has one other 1-star review... I came here today to possibly consign some items. Being physically unable to lift (due to being 39.5 weeks pregnant and having my toddler with me) the small box that I had brought by myself, I asked if an employee could assist me. The woman who selects what is sellable let out the biggest sigh that could be heard across the room when the box was brought to her because I suppose she was disappointed. She kept calling me "sweetie" and "honey" to deliberately be patronizing. She had the worst attitude and asked if I could bring the box back to my car myself. I said no and she proceeded to become very visibly angry and verbally attack me. So, not only was she upset that my items were not worth her time, but she also had to help me carry my box. I do not see the big deal when an item is not sellable? Just return it to the customer and send them on their way... No need to be so blatantly unkind. What an inconvenience to her precious time. The employees working here are...

I would give negative stars if I could. Apparently it's good business practice for the store employees to steal ideas/info from former vendors.

Now, my crafts are not copyrighted and yeah, a good chunk of that information is available online, so no actual theft can be proven. Youtube is a wonderful teacher. But when an employee uses their friendship with a previous vendor to get personal information and tips on how to make/design a craft - while denying the whole time that they plan on using the information to make the craft - and then starts making the craft and trying to blame it on other people?

The lies and shady practices coming from that employee is...

I absolutely love Jolee’s! All of the staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and very kind. I like their standards and their selection. There’s literally something for everyone in the store and they have wonderful deals. Their hours are great too! I work a lot during the week so I’m extremely thankful that they are open on the weekends! I am a forever customer for sure!
